Fantastic card! Love it .

That's actually the 1914 Brooklyn Tip-Tops (usually called the Brookfeds that year). The 1915 team wore a uniform with a distinctive B on the chest, and were wearing those uniforms in an image published in a newspaper on Opening Day in Brooklyn, April 10th, so it is unlikely that they posed for a photo in their home park wearing their old uniforms prior to getting the new ones.

I've also included a dated newspaper image from 1914 for comparison.

You're absolutely right! Just edited my post so it's correct for future reference. Thanks for those two newsprint team shots as well. Those are great.

I love all those team photos! Here's a few of my favorites, including a bunch of cowboys playing baseball (c. 1915 in Colorado?), a WWII U.S. Navy team with several Hall of Famers (1944 or 1945), a kids' team from the late 1940s (from Hartford, Connecticut), and signed photo of the 1960 Rochester Red Wings ...

...If any Cuban Baseball collectors can add any names , that would be great , thanks--.....the original owner left the back blank , but he was pretty sure the year was late 1930's.....the car bears that out , but Cuba has a reputation for keeping cars running forever......kinda like some of the guys on here...

One that I have had for a lonnggg time, Ft. Worth Cats, I have narrowed it down to 1909 or 1910 which means several would have been in the T210 set.

Great thread - thanks to the OP for starting it. As a lifelong Cardinals fan I managed to acquire an original Cards team picture or photo from every year since 1900. For many of the early years it's a team montage removed from a Spalding or Reach guide from that year (I didn't remove them) or something like these two images - a team picture from an April 1900 St. Louis Globe Democrat newspaper and another from a 1903 Tip Top magazine. But for many of the years it's an actual photo. My oldest real photo is from 1921 and I'm always on the lookout for the few years I'm still missing.

Below is an original photo of the Montgomery Climbers ca. 1909-10. Seated in front on left is a rare image of Champ Osteen. He was a highly touted prospect in Greenville SC area. He was on my list because he played for Yankees in 1904

I'm curious if you would count a W601 as an "original team picture"?

Anything that was made, printed or published in the year pictured is good enough for me. W601 team composites - you bet.

Post #116 is actually an image of the 1909 New York Giants. I've attached below a newspaper clipping of the same gathering, taken from a slightly different angle, from the April 14th, 1909, edition of the New York Daily Tribune. (I do not own this clipping.)

I love that Cowboy photo! if you ever consider selling it, I'd buy it. It would look awesome next to my TipTop Weekly dime novel with a Cowboy playing baseball cover. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...adbce7a9da.jpg
