Leon, great Bresnahan portrait. My point regarding value between Sgc and Psa prewar issues though (in this case T206's) is that the gap is much closer now than what it once was in years past.
The cards being discussed may have very well sold for more if they were in Psa slabs. I'm not disputing that. My point was/is that Sgc prewar cards more than hold their own today against Psa when they display nice for the grade. Collectors such as you and I are proof of that as we pay up for the nice stuff no matter if its Sgc or Psa. ;) Now post war is an entirely different story! |

Since the big price increases in the last couple of years SGC cards have closed the gap on many of the big cards. I see this constantly when I am checking the track record of a certain graded.
I think there is a whole new group of buyers out there that are buying the card not the holder and also buying what is available. They are not aware of VCP and pay the price they are comfortable with. Thanks for the support I get from you, Lee Behrens |
