1940 Play Ball #171 Harry Heilmann
One of 1940's "retouched photo" cards arrived today. Not sure where in the production process they decided to smooth out his face.

I purchased this card at the National for my collection of cards of all the players on the 1924 Senators championship team, even though the dealer didn't bring his T222 cards with him to Chicago and had to subsequently ship this card to me. I'd watched this card languish as a BIN on eBay for a long time, and I am happy to have acquired it "at a price I could live with" at the NSCC. I'm always looking for scarce cards of Harry "Nemo" Leibold for my collection.
