I made a recent YouTube video showing my Lelands Auctions pickups featuring a larger lot of (33) Bell Brand Dodgers w/ (2) Sandy Koufax along with several Non-Sports Cards lots I won from them. Pretty fun hodge-podge video...

Cross-posting from the auto side. I bought this Ryan rookie raw at the end of February. Had it for a day before I mailed it in to the Nolan Ryan Foundation and just got it back. Nice to finally enjoy it:

Hello all - long time listener and first time poster. Thought I would add some of my 2021 pick-ups for fun. I really enjoy seeing all of the pictures and the discussions on the site and hope to contribute in the future.
These are cards I had in college and I had to sell around 1990 to help pay tuition and living expenses and beer. I had a great Nolan Ryan collection in the 1980's. Anyway, I decided to start buying them back and to start my collecting up again - like a lot of people the last year. I am building out my Ryan's, Schmidt's, and some other stars of the 60's-80's that I had to part with. I also dabble in 1970's and 80's hockey but that is for another forum. Thanks for listening! |

Those probably cost a pretty penny, but the Ryan Express is definitely skyrocketing these days. Great stuff!! |

In another thread, I was introduced to the 1973 Topps '53 Reprints which I did not know existed. Even though, the actual 1953 cards are only slightly more expensive and despite the presence of the 1991 reprint set, I found that I had to pick up a couple:
Johnny Mize as he was a fellow Georgian & The Clyde McCullough error that is actually Vic Janowitz, who won the Heisman at Ohio State...fairly cool...to me anyway. Just love the art-work! Attachment 446356Attachment 446357 |
clydepepper...your on a roll!!!!! Love the 69 Aaron...one of my favorite cards..

Mailday of a lifetime for me. #1 card I've always wanted, low grade, but by far the most I've ever spent on a cardhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...649de3669f.jpg

Raymond— 3 of the 8 cards in the Topps 1973 Reprint “set” (1953) incorrectly identify the named player. How could they get it so wrong ? And what was the origin and purpose of such an 8 card screwed up set ? Promotional gift at a Topps event ? Potential test set ( no known test wrappers or boxes) ? Anyone have any insight ?

March Pickups
I have a few lower grade Post commons in my collection that came from somewhere, but this purchase is my first real foray into food & beverage. Very happy with this card, and to me it looks a lot better than a 5:

I went on a Larry Doby mission earlier in the month. Picked up 3 nice 7's and an ungraded Bowman that I really like. Looks good in person and I will send it off for grading....eventually.

Bought an early 40th Birthday gift. The best my budget could afford but I think it looks pretty good for a PSA 1.

Landed some great ones!
Now, I recognize that this card isn't a PSA or SGC 5, but I think the eye appeal is fantastic. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...11c31505_c.jpg1952_Bowman_Mays_1 This one is criminally undervalued considering how important of a player he was and how nice the set is overall: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...cf88ffa1_c.jpg1951_Doby_1 Love the smile on Ernie on this 1968! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...9504e319_c.jpg1968_Banks_1 |

Matthew, that Doby is one of the nicest cards on this whole thread. Blazer is an understatement. Congrats, pal.

Just got a bunch of cards back from PSA and I'm counting these as new pickups since I haven't seen them in nine months.
I've listed a bunch from this group for sale but these I'm keeping https://i.imgur.com/ywfDgdAl.jpg |
This thread is great, looking through it. Some amazing cards being shown

Vegas, that is an amazing 58T Aaron! If you ever get tired of it you let me know. John same to you with your 61P Clemente, that is a very undergraded 5.
I just got several nice cards from Howard, including this 55B Johnny Podres. |

That Campy is awesome Phil!
|
Thanks Dean,
I watched that Campy 8 sell for $3300+ at auction the other night, this one had better centering and cost 10% of that. |

Not sure I had ever seen a ‘61 MVP card with zero print damage before, so had to pull the trigger on this at the LCS yesterday:

My kids and I are working on quite an array of Pirate team sets. We are very focused on centering on the Topps issues. We've been underbidders on probably 4 of these over the last couple of years. Really happy to finish our 52 Pirate team set by finally landing this one courtesy of Sterling auctions (Thanks Lee).
Now, Anyone have tough back T205, T206 or T207 Pirates they would consider selling? |

Picked up a couple of Ernie Banks card. Accidently picked up cards from the same year. One Bowman, the other Topps. I wonder which I would have gone after if I had been a kid in 1955?
