My wife insists on putting on the Sinatra XM channel all the time. Anyone who thinks Frank didn't sing a bad song hasn't listened to this station. He has a million bad songs. Or a million songs he ruined with schtick. Dino is as genuine as it comes.

I think Dino is so underappreciated because of how private he was. Did a very good job of Setting up the barriers between his Public Persona and Private Life.
As for your point on Sinatra, all of his fans, myself included, don't remember the bad songs, we only remember the good renditions :D. I think Sinatra is so well received because of how much of a Showman he was, the fact that he could dance, sing and somewhat act. His constant links to the premier Hollywood Starlets, or his questionable ties to the Italian Mafia. He was an interesting person. And Damn Good looking too, if I say so myself! |
