It was a rough year on so many levels, aside from two...getting extra time with my son and watching him grow up right before my eyes, and collecting. This one is the exclamation point and book end to an unbelievable year that I will never forget

A Christmas Cobb! congrats Dan.

Congrats, Dan! Beautiful pick up.

Nice CJ's Casey Ben Beautiful Cobb PC796, nice way to cap off that set! Jeff very nice T206's Dan, Bautiful CJ Cobbie! |
A big card for me, on my wish list for a long time. The photo has excellent clarity and contrast. Glad these team photos are closer to modern baseball cards size than the typical early cigarette pack size.

I believe they were auctioned off during the All-Star game festivities. I recall this because I was lucky enough to attend the Home Run derby that year in SF and went to the card show that was held at the same time. Found the link to the auction. https://huntauctions.com/live/imagev...=534&lot_qual= |

Sure enough Dean. Man...check out that price! If only!!!!

Looking up this thread it has certainly been a great month for forum collectors. Wow. I could retire on what has been shown. Glad to add this ad photo proof (I call it a premium so it fits more with my collecting habits :) ) to the collection... It boomeranged from my first collection....old habits and all.

Fun pickup.....although not really one that fits the collection. Still, not often you come home with a T206 in a PSA 9(OC) holder, especially a HOFer with a tougher back.

You really save on image scanning time if you can reacquire cards like this :) That is a great photo! Love the car. Joe

My seventh and last 1936 Goudey R322 back variation arrived for Kiki Cuyler, completing another HOF page. This brings my R322 master set to 167 of 176 and perhaps I can finish this one in 2021!

Also made another hit to my 1967 Laughlin World Series set with "write for entire set of 63" ad text on the back. Need another 20 or so.

Last Pick Up of 2020

Ok I lied when I said I made my last pick up of 2020 earlier in this thread. This Joe Tinker is actually my last pick up of 2020. Very happy to close out the year with a HOFer that was a pick up goal for 2021!
