Some great pick ups, including a tough E106 Matty; LOVE the Ruth Big Head; Great Seymour Run; nothing wrong with a green cobb or Tolstoi back. BUT damn, that Herp Jax is awesome! Jeff, I am glad you jumped on that; I just kept looking and glad it went off the market and you were the one who got it (but no Gimbels or Famous Barr......! :))

Added another mounted collection, to my collection, of mounted collections...I love these things so much because it feels like there is no distance between myself and the person who glued these on 110 years ago.

I am glad I got that card also. And I will get the Gimbel and Famous Barr at some point again. Love your Wagner and Team. I put a few bids on it before moving on. Some amazing card this month for pickups |

Nice Mays! I picked up something from Net54 BST too, but not nearly as impressive.

A collection of mounted collections? That sounds awesome. A bear to display, I'd guess, but awesome. There's a home for everything. There was a discussion on here a few years ago about a steamer trunk that had the lid lined with (IIRC) T-206s.

August defintely had some firsts for me. I went from owning zero prewar cards to three. The first coming from BST, as I was able to pickup this beautiful Butterfinger Jimmie Foxx. Similarly earlier in the month, on my trip up to the Hall, I was able to pick up a 34 Goudey Jimmie Foxx. It's beat to hell and covered in tape, and will defintely be an upgrade candidate down the road, but for now, I'm very happy to have it in my collection. The final Pickup, was my first foray into Tobacco cards. I obtained a Sweet Corporal Back, Eddie Collins. I'm very happy with how cheap his cards are considering he was such a fantastic player. I'm resisting the urge to jump down the t206 rabbit hole however, because I fear it will bankrupt me!
