Hmmm. I rarely post anything on this side of the Net54...
I am really starting to enjoy these little cards. Maybe a little too much. Usually, I collect game used bats. I do not think this is an addiction I should be starting...but they are so colorful... |

Amazing pick ups everyone!
These are my favorite threads to go through. Now that I've stopped drooling, my loan card for June.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a41082d79c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...efbcd693cc.jpg Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

Thank you Ryan.
Here are a few additional new pick ups. I have too much free time, with all my NYC customers closed down/boarded up, I’m playing online poker and buying cards. |

Recently got these back from SGC, the HM Taylor Cobb is rough but have been after one for a while. A couple of solid bookends as well

Great card Dan. Awesome! I can't really follow that, but here is a Hof T205 addition to my collection.

Joe and David, congrats on some great HOF pick ups (especially the Cobb PC, to which I am partial).
Dan, that is one hell of a great, and fine looking, card. I hope you enjoy that for a long time. You have made some major pickups lately. |
Newb
Hi Everybody!
First off, I am so excited to see all the super-rare and cool cards you folks pickup-ed this month. After a couple decades off - I returned to the hobby this month. I hoped to find a set that I could afford that also had some aesthetics I that I could dig. When I saw the Diamond Stars R327 cards - they seemed like the perfect place for me to start my prewar collection. I did a bit of inertent sleuthing, and decided that I should bid on a couple so I could see what they look like - although I generally prefer to be a bit more educated and look in person. The cards seem authentic and mostly as pictured online (Sam Rice has some possible hairline creasing on his right chin and possible discoloration in the yellow window to his left that I couldn't see online and can barely see with my naked eye, Bill Terry has some glue residue on top and obvious flaws). So - any critiques or armchair grades based on these images would be awesome, and educational. Any tips on how i'm a dummy or where to post noob question are appreciated - message me if posting here would take this thread off-topic. My main concern is flat-out overpaying and its always tough to gauge "the market" based on a week of Ebay watching. Small risks are always fun to take and overall I am super happy with my start. Thanks, again - you probably get a new one of these guys like me every week. https://www.net54baseball.com/pictur...ictureid=28530 https://www.net54baseball.com/pictur...ictureid=28531 https://www.net54baseball.com/pictur...ictureid=28528 https://www.net54baseball.com/pictur...ictureid=28529 |

Starting to get back into acquiring cheap low grade baseball T grade cards again, this one was $87.20 after shipping/CA tax, most I've spent on a T206 yet as a lover of low grade commons. Trying to pick up the cheaper HOF action shots. This one has a Polar Bear back, my favorite.
