Nice Ware's cards!!! Only wish I knew about them years ago.... would have ventured into the basement of the old place (unseen of course) and see if any were tucked away in corners...

I know this one isn't baseball but it's still a scarce prewar card.
This is an e79 with a rare red back instead of the common black back. . |

These are neat, too. Kind of get to see the making of a card process. I believe these were rejects of the plan for Obaks.

Cool
Those are cool Ed...Jerry

OK, these 1943 M & P Co. strip cards are not really scarce....individually.
But, how often do you see an original (8-card) uncut strip ? ? http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...ReeseMPx9x.jpghttp://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...ggioMPx9xx.jpg TED Z T206 Reference . |

I always enjoyed the Hugh Duffy pose that is much more commonly seen on a V100 Willards. You dont see a ton of E123 Curtis Irelands...and a HOFer to boot:p |

I recognize your nice E123 as being Stanley "Bucky" Harris, the "Boy Wonder." I'm looking for one of these cards or the V100 with the identical pose for my 1924 Senators collection. |

Anyone wanta Trade Card(s)? (:
|
|
Over the years I have met a very few " Type Collectors " The first one I met had a goal of collecting one card or "Type " from every baseball set before 1920. He was very different from most of the other collectors who collected sets of cards. He sold or traded all his doubles in pursuit of his goal.
Another subset of the true Type collector were the collectors who kept Type albums. I knew quite a few collectors that did this but very few that identified themselves as type collectors. |

1923 Fleer
asphaltman, Dave Fast, posted a 1923 Fleer card earlier. The W515s are not hard to find but finding them with a Fleer back is pretty tough. And I think it is still unknown if all the W515s can be found with a Fleer back.

Leon, here's another 1947 Champ Hat premium - wish it was autographed. I'm thrilled to have it because Vernon was one of my 2 most favorite Senators (Pete Runnels was the other) when I was a lad in the 1950's. For anyone who might not be aware, the notations below the players' names refer to Musial and Vernon winning the 1946 NL and AL batting titles, respectively.
