C-Mack, awesome e92 (and friends back run). I just picked these up last night unexpectedly from a Board member (could not pass up the chance to own the T216 and the Nadja), so I may be off on an E92 back run myself; updated to add the Crofts Blue I just picked up too. Happy Holidays!

I got these from Memory Lane the other night.

Congrats on the Speaker; that was mine when I fell asleep at about 3:00 AM Sunday!

Leon 12-19-2018 08:26 AM

Very cool, David. That is only about the 3rd horizontal R315 strip I have seen. I have one just like it on display in my office.

Ryan, congrats on an awesome start to an E92 Wags back run on top of all your fabulous 2018 pickups! I truly look forward to seeing what you will do for an encore in 2019.
Best,
Val

yanksfan09 12-19-2018 06:54 PM

Nice R315 strip! Wilson and Bottomley are hard to find from the set too.

Rhotchkiss 12-19-2018 07:04 PM

Thanks all.

Val, I sincerely hope not to encore in 2019 (says the cardboard addict); maybe I just won’t post as much ;)

A BIG "A-1 Great Guy" gold star goes to Ed Skelton for Hindu SL No. 26 .... :)

Ed either saw my other pick up post, or my needs list and contacted me out of the blue. It's one of the best part of the hobby to have others helping you out along your collecting journey ................ :):):)

Scott, I saw your other pickup post. To be honest, I had forgotten I had any of these left until I saw your post. Glad to help, and Merry Christmas to everyone here, in case I can't post that day.

jthorst75 12-21-2018 06:49 PM

I'm not usually a fan of T202s but I really dig the colors and sharp corners; primarily I got it for the player combination.

Shout out to Jeremy W. who pointed this out to me on ebay. I never would have seen it otherwise as it was not listed correctly. I've been searching for a copy of this cabinet photo for more than a decade now since I lost out on one in a Mastro auction in the olden days. It's the Nebraska Indians on a baseball field with their tents behind them. They usually camped out like this because many hotels wouldn't host them and also for show as they wanted to present themselves as "Wild Indians".

its nothing big, but puts me at 20 of 28 needed for the T206 NY Highlanders Team Set in the PSA registry.

It only feels mildly underwhelming to post this pickup after seeing that ridiculous Cobb right before me, but I like it anyways.

https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WHNhxPLpM...2BSGC%2B20.jpg

Also, damn that Cobb is so pretty.

ccre 12-27-2018 11:06 AM

Holy smokes that is one heck of a great Cobb. Nice Chase as well!

LincolnVT 12-27-2018 12:09 PM

I was wondering if you ended up with that. Congrats...GREAT rare Cobb. Very cool card!

Can you share why this is a printers scrap? Looks trimmed to me and I'm not seeing the other obvious signs. But I often overlook the obvious.

I think that the latter depends on your perspective, since it isn't really a rookie. Things tend to change over time. It wasn't that long ago that Cobb's 1907 postcards weren't considered his rookie cards, Beckett listed the '33 Goudey Ruth as his rookie, and the R314 DiMag used to be considered one of his rookie cards, rather than a 1937 instead of a 1936 issue. Personally, I'll take the earlier, rarer ones every time. And by the way, regionals are in no way disqualified from rookie status.

Best to all,

Larry
