Agreed, Aaron great pickups along with everyone else in the thread. How can you go wrong with any lot won in REA.

Always wanted a Clown PC to go in the collection. Seems I always get out sniped on eBay so I returned the favor in REA.

Dang, Aaron, pulling out all the stops! Sweet. Jealous of those Victory's!

Awesome Aaron. That E125 Matty used to be mine (several moons ago), glad it ended up in your awesome collection.....

Aaron, great Victorys, and a proof. And a really nice e121 Ruth.

That would be a very good year for me. :D

I won the Goodwin Champions PSA 4 King Kelly. Probably overpaid a bit, and I think the grade may be a little generous, but happy to be adding it to my collection.

I didn't win any sports related lots, but I finally added a nice Beatles piece. I think I got a very good deal as well ($6600 with bp) considering the quality and provenance of the item.

Picked up 10 D310s. I still need the olive green background Byrne but didn't need the overprint on the back which made it go up in price. I'll wait for the "regular" olive Byrne...

P.S. to Leon- I was stunned that the orange background Crawford wasn't marketed as a "one of a kind" which it is. I won't go in to the spiel about E94s and the orange color variations but it went way too low. I was bidding on it but lost track of it as the buzzer hit, my bad :-(

I still paid a few hundred more for the E94 than when it sold in my collection sale. My guess is that me and whomever else was bidding after around $2k, knew the deal. When Rob ran the company, if I recall correctly, I called and let him know the Orange E94 Cobby he was selling was more special than was described (at least at first). The E card and type card guys know though :)....These things ain't falling through the cracks. :(

And nice pick up on the D310s. Those were some really nice ones.

Overall another stellar auction from REA. Can't wait for the next one!!

Nice Beatles Auto item. I already have one so I didn't bid on this one. I think the prices are still low on these items.

Well, we found one of your winning lots I was not the other bidder on!

Not sure. This is a very very cool item, and I would have bid had I focused on it, but there is autographed Beatles stuff in every auction. Not like anyone threw away an autographed Beatles album. And it's not like they were only together a year.

I'd love an authentic copy of the butchered baby album, and not one that's been peeled off. Now that's an item.

My best friend is a huge Beatles fan, and has been our whole lives. I found that album at a yard sale, just like you said, not peeled off, for $1, bought it, and gave it to him for his birthday when we were 12. He was tripping hard, telling me he couldn't keep it, it was worth too much money. I told him it was only worth the dollar I paid for it. He still has it.

Looked at it at one point. There is the type 1, which is what you found. There is type 2 which has had the replacement covered peeled off, and type 3 which is the replacement cover/sticker still on. Some auction house has (or recently had) a type 1 signed by the fab 4. Recently saw one.

The people that had the yard sale had told their daughter she couldn't have it when it first came out, she bought it anyway, so they took it from her. It was never opened. It's got to be worth a fortune today, but not worth the fun of having given my best friend the coolest item he owns (in his eyes).

If it's the one I am thinking of I believe it was John Lennon's personal copy.

Great stuff guys. Aaron, quite the steal on the T206 Hartsel proof- I was the underbidder, and on an airplane all day (literally) to Hong Kong last Sunday, so I missed the auction close...Why do we think this Hartsel went so low? the two type 1's (without name) went strong as expected, and so did the other type 2 (with name)...but why did Hartsel remain so low? I'd like to hear some opinions on this, as last auction there were some type 2's that went for around $8400. Either way, congrats.

These two bids held up for me...

Here it is with a current bid with buyers premium of $ 137,500 with 3 autos.

Aaron Seefeldt 11-05-2017 09:10 PM

I'm curious too

Thanks, I absolutely love it. I have no idea why it went for so much less than the others and was planning on calling Brian (Dwyer) in a couple weeks to ask, once their post auction frenzy quiets a little.
