Chris, that's a really cool item!

Thanks Clint! First time I've seen anything like it and I jumped on it. Have seen schedule coins but not a season pass coin before.

Nice addition to my AAGPBL collection - large front uniform logo from the 1940's - measures 4.5 inches in diameter.

Bob and Chris...

Those are both "off the charts" cool. Not sure which is rarer, but you both scored big-time

That Victor bat has a cool looking label. As far as I'm concerned, I'd welcome it if you someday started an independent thread on Federal League memorabilia. (Go Rebels!)

Picked up both versions of the Frantz The Great American Game along with their box tops, score sheets and counter display. I have seen the lower box, but never the top box or the score sheets. The counter display, which came with the bottom game, is in great shape. Both games are also in nice condition, but the boxes leave something to be desired. Still, I was happy to find them.

Butch7999 10-29-2016 03:32 PM

Great acquisitions, Joe, and in one fell swoop no less! Full sets of pegs tough, lower box and
counter display tougher, upper box and scoresheets crazy tough. Congrats!

Wow there's been some great pick ups this month. Congrats everyone!

Dave is it possible you were had? This same guy has another one?

Like Scott said looks brand new.....maybe because they are.

The description says he believes the sign is from the 1920s, but also look at his subtitle where he says "Antique look" <---that phrase is a major red flag to me.

Wrigley Field Ticket Sign

Not the same source as the one I acquired. I can also tell you that the sign in the display case is not the one this guy is selling on E-Bay. Anything is possible, but I am very happy and comfortable with the sign I bought, the condition, and the person who sold it.

Thanks for being on the look out though..

very odd they both used this picture in their listing, and also odd that this seller waited just long enough so yours is not showing in completed history anymore. yours must have just fallen off completed history. odd timing.

can you post your sellers ebay id?

Changing topic a bit...in this auction, what is the logic for how i***i is bidding, if there is any?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-1930...Oyq&rmvSB=true

slidekellyslide 01-22-2017 08:34 PM

Ebay encourages this type of bidding with their little pop up bidding window if you don't get the high bid it asks you if you want to bid again. Incremental bidding until you reach the top bid. It's the reason I took the ebay app off of my phone because I got tired of it making 20 consecutive little bell sounds every time someone would bid like that on one of my items.

Another one, I know different seller, but this guy for listing "scarce" in his title needs someone to tell him what scarce means, can't be too scarce this is his 3rd one he's selling:
