Bob & Mike:

Your great trophies remind me of one of my favorite items, the championship trophy awarded to the 1910 Raymond (WA) Cougars. The Washington State League was a class D professional league from 1910 to 1912.
Franchises included the Aberdeen Black Cats, Chehalis Gophers and Proteges, Hoquiam Loggers, Centralia Pets, Montesano Farmers, Raymond Cougars and South Bend River Rats.
Fielder Jones was player manager for the Chehalis team in 1910, just four years removed from leading the "Hitless Wonders" to a 1906 World Series victory.
A player in the back row in the 2nd team RPPC is wearing a Portland Beavers uniform, circa 1909.

Well this one was too fun to pass up.

Rickey was such a staunch anti-Communist Republican I'm surprised he didn't bat right handed. :p

Thanks. I love the smoke, Shotten's cheeky grin, and Durocher calling a strike on his former boss.

Picked up this Mexican made ashtray on eBay today. I've not seen this particular figural before and the price was terrific:)

Just picked this up, a cardboard photo that was inserted in a 1934 copy of the Yomiuri Shinbun newspaper featuring the MLB and Japanese all star teams from the tour that year.

Did a little write up about it on my blog http://baseballcardsinjapan.blogspot...-all-star.html

Neat piece Mike, great find!
Are there any stamps or hallmarks?

It is marked Heco En Mexico on the bottom. The seller listed it as a piece advertising Carta Blanca--Cerveza--Exquisita beer in Mexico but the pics Ive seen don't show that marking.

Large Redleg Nodder

Looks like the third Mr. Redleg nodder is going to sell in the on-line auction as the reserve has been met. Great news of the Reds Museum.

Picked up a pair of these at very reasonable prices yesterday. Have wanted one for a little while. I don't consciously collect Marquard, but I do have a growing Marquard collection...

Mickey Cochrane 1935 press photo. I've seen this shot somewhere before but I can't remember - on a card maybe ?

It's one of the photos formed by the backs of the 1935 Goudey 4-in-1 puzzle set.

Dewey 09-27-2016 09:07 PM

That is a rad photo!

Thanks! It was driving me crazy. I couldn't even find it when I googled it.

Happy to add this Tigers pin to my collection. While this tiger image was used on other pins that are common for the Tigers, this version is a bit harder to find. Usually the Souvenir Of the Detroit Tigers pin has the drawn unrealistic (looks like a cheetah) head.

Also, my new figural ashtray that I posted an image of previously in this thread arrived and here is an image of the logo for the beer it advertises

I picked up this 1955 Ted Williams SI for $215 at Heritage Auctions last night. I thought it was a very good price for the high grade. This is the first SI I have owned that is graded.
