Love this thread.
Please keep them coming! MEB Boy |
Nice autos. You have tons of hall of famer rookies signed.

Great auto Berra card, Bob. I would consider that to be his true rookie card even though the price guides indicate 1948 Bowman. The 1947 Tip Top Bread was a legitimate, widely collected set, not as mainstream as 1948 Bowman but still..........

You mentioned you sold your 52 topps mantle PSA 7(oc) recently for $27,500.
Are there any 52 topps mantle signed authentic in existence? |

Yount and Havlicek
Man...not only are both of those beautiful cards they have some really nice autographs on them. Always loved the way Havlicek signs, but that Yount is very nice as well; nice contrast.

One of my recent pick ups. Any thoughts on weather I should go with a red PSA grade or blue auto only slab? I'm thinking it would grade around a 4 or 5. The card has wear but has no creasing or wrinkles. Thanks
|
.
|
Thanks Bob! Sounds like good a good idea to me. I'll be submitting to PSA for a red slab. Love your collection of signed HoF rookies. Top notch.
|
I love the thread! It's fun to compare signatures that have been printed on the card, when the card was issued to the actual autograph. Especially if HoF is added. Usually the autograph is more flamboyant than the printed signature on the rookie card, which is prior to a long successful career.
|
Boy Havlicek has a beautiful sig! Interesting inscriptions on the Payton.

I haven't posted on this side in a long time. I picked this one recently and it arrived in the mail today. He certainly isn't a hall of famer but I thought it was cool to have his autograph on this card in English and Japanese.

Awesome Jordan. I've heard he won't sign those any more so they're hard to find.

My Favorite signed Rookie
|
Johnny, I'm a huge Yaz guy and I love that card!!
|
Thank You Don, me too!! I also have a neat 61 Topps signed with his rookie signature in pen. Wish I would have been able to see Yaz and Williams play! Wow what a greaf run of left fielders the Red Sox had.

I am blessed that so many current and former NHLers have come from here or played for the Oshawa Generals. Just wish one more I know quite well would stick with his Rep hockey, but I understand when he says it doesn't leave much time for anything else, especially school work. |

Kaline
I really like the look of the Kaline... Red background w/the blue auto that pretty much matches his cap; just cool!

Bob I thought you might like this card.

Thanks Bob! That means a lot coming from a guy like yourself, I'm in awe of most of your cards! Yes it's mine. Do you think I cross to a red PSA holster? I'm thinking the card should grade in the 5 neighborhood. Maybe 5.5.
