Just got back today from Canada. Spent the last 4 days up in Edmonton and Calgary buying all kinds of stuff. Had a lead on a OPC set run and was able to make a few other contacts in the area to make the trip worth while. It turned out better than expected even though 2 other people backed out.
After a long day Friday after flying and a 3 hour drive from Calgary to Edmonton, just chilled and got ready for Saturdays scheduled meetings. The 1st stop was a complete run of OPC Baseball sets 1965 through 1976. He had 1977 on up but I didn't want them. This was at the hotel and we didn't agree on what was being offered. Sunday morning met up with a guy who we were in contact with for a while. Wow is all I can say http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l4...52299486_n.jpg After this deal went down, met up with someone else and picked up a 1969 OPC Hockey set. This was all up in Edmonton. After the 1969 set was purchased, started going back to Calgary. On the way back, got a phone call from the guy who sold us the 2nd batch of OPC sets. Told me he knows a guy in Calgary who is motivated to move inventory from a store that got closed down. He provided me the phone number and went straight to this guys house. Didn't know what to expect but was blown away! For starters, picked this 1979 OPC Hockey set. The set is NM-NMMT but the gretzky although looks very nice, is probably a 5. Brings me a couple binders and when I opened them up, I was shocked! Another 1971 set! Although not complete. I would say about 80% complete. The other binder was a 1970 OPC Baseball set. Then he takes me to his garage where there was all kinds of stuff. These cards look like they were opened and put back in the boxes the year they were made - crisp and glossy. Flying out tomorrow and have a 16 foot box truck waiting for us. Plan on buying this on Saturday morning. Was contacted 3 weeks ago about a very large collection. At 1st was told there were around 500 PSA graded cards and as the the discussions continued, then there were over 3000 PSA graded cards! The seller then said there was a bunch of boxes available but the seller was so overwhelmed by the amount of inventory here. I asked for pictures of the boxes only to find out, most were cases!
Some of the items I can make out are... OPC Baseball vending cases 1987,1988,1989 OPC Baseball wax cases 1986,1987 TOPPS Baseball rack cases 1986,1987 Topps Basketball rack cases 1992,1993,1994 Topps Hockey vending case 1981/82 Donruss Rack cases 1986 I can make out some 70's non sports boxes in other pictures. After a 16 hour drive back to Texas, we got back last night at 7pm. Had plenty of help waiting to unload the truck. Just starting to go through the boxes. We picked up a good amount of boxes from a large collection. Most but not all of these boxes show some type of wear. Boxes may have tape, stickers, loose lid or some type of box issue. Box issues from these OPC products are common. They were just not made very well. All packs are in fantastic condition, factory sealed. Selling in 4 box lots at $100 delivered. This past week we were on the road again. Picked up a lot of nice stuff.
Here pictured below, we purchased a hoard of 1953 Canadian Exhibits. Story on this was that the guy found a case of them a while back. He made sets and sold them off. What I got was the remaining singles and there's still around 500 here. Condition on these is unreal for the most part. After buying the lot, been looking in to the product more. Back in Feb, we took on the 3rd best Nolan Ryan PSA registry set on consignment. Today we picked up from the same guy, his autographed, Game Used collection. There's probably around 300 certified cards, many low numbered. Also picked up several more PSA cards. Some amazing stuff here! Remember the days of investing in player lots. This collection we just picked up had lots of 500 to 5000 of the same card. This Collection has cards like 1988 Topps Roger Clemens 1600 , 1990 Topps Tr. Olerud 2400, 1999 Topps Tr. Baerga 1600, 1993 Topps Maddux 2400, 1988 Topps Maddux 2400, 1993 Topps #1 Ryan 800, and it goes on and on. The best of the bunch are pictured, 4800 Topps Juan Gonzalez RC, 1700 Frank Thomas RC, and 2100 Griffey https://image.ibb.co/iNCkzQ/21687687...49765868_n.jpg The last Barry Bonds O-Pee-Chee rookie in PSA 10 sold for $2600. That has created a craze for unopened 1987 OPC. The Bonds is known for centering issues and very difficult to find well centered. Unopened wax boxes have doubled in price. Pictured here are 10 cases of vending. There are approximately 8000 cards to a case and with only 396 cards to a set, you should average 20 of each card. We just booked our next buying trip in Canada. Will be buying January 17-21 in the surrounding Toronto/London area(will also be in Montreal for 1 night- the 17th). Looking for Vintage sets, unopened wax boxes/cases Sports,non sports etc!!

We were contacted 2 weeks ago about buying another collection. Flew up Friday night with 1 of my helpers and we got to the sellers house first thing Saturday morning. Spent the whole day going through the collection and agreed on a price. Took us 15 hours to drive back to Texas but we made it. Started to unload and get this stuff some what organized. Here are a few pictures. This will take months to get it all listed. Probably wont begin listing the graded for another day or so. There are over 8000 graded cards! The other boxes contain mostly vintage 50's and 60's but there are also some 70's and 80's.

Another collection purchased out of newton, Ma. Was up on a family visit and this deal got put together rather quick. Will be back up in July to ship it all back to the office.
