Progress on my T209-2 set. I have picked up 5 this month. Here are a couple of my favorites from the recent group. Irvine is an upgrade even in SGC 10. If anyone is looking for a beater T209 Irvine let me know

Another Goudey to add on board.

A couple antique mall finds this last weekend.
First off is an Olsen's Base Ball card game printed by Olsen Games Co. in Portland Oregon. The instructions are copyright 1925, though I don't know when this actual set was printed. Included are 60 cards, 30 of them red backed and 30 blue backed. I can't find much information about the set but each card features a generic baseball player with a different baseball play. I removed the rubber band but it appears the bottom of the box may have been removed at some point, so the cards can slide out easily. http://i.imgur.com/kPfYhuZm.jpg The second purchase was a vintage badminton racket manufactured by George Gibson Bussey & Co. I can't find much information on it but it appears to be late 19th century or early 20th century. http://i.imgur.com/HfhmEV2m.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bRHTnxnm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pcWAL9Tm.jpg If anyone knows anything more about either of these items, please let me know. Thanks for looking. Grant |
Thanks guys. I swore I wasn't going to start another set, and am not by any means all in, but just liked this one alot.
Nice stuff everybody! |

I was better off when they had actually admitted that they didn't know what it was ; now that it's in a thirteen-ounce slab it's going to cost even more to send to Texas yet a third time..... |

Another card to check off my backs list, the Sweet Cap factory 42. Probably be a while before I tackle the Drum, Brown Lenox, Brown OM, etc., but I am making a good dent in the rest of them! Also, a couple kinda tough front back combos.

Great Pose Of Joe Cronin- 1939 Goudey Set
http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/204295...CRONIN_NEW.JPG
...R303B , a tad larger than the R303A . I love the action shots from these '39 Goudeys ; they look good in Beckett holders. This one is from that scrapbook I've been slowly disassembling ; it stopped in 1940 and was put away in dark dry storage and not touched for seventy years . I'll post the others as time permits. |

Thanks to Dave K. & the board for helping me get one step closer to finishing the T213-1 set. Only 4 to go now. (Also shown the T213-1 Paskert Steve W. asked about in another thread. I checked for dupes, but it's the only Paskert I have). Rob

Was really hoping you had a raw Rhoades already since there's only 1 in the pop reports. Too bad about the pinhole, this is a tough front/back combo. I believe there are only 4 showing graded in in both PSA/SGC pop reports. I know that doesn't account for those graded prior to putting the back ID on the flip, but that is still a pretty low number.
