Love that Gehrig exhibit Jim, great early image of Sweet Lou. Nice exhibits all around, that Cobb is no slouch either!

Admittedly not baseball and I have no idea of how rare it is, but I spotted this on ebay and thought that the upside-down back made it worth the $11. The brand being related to the T206 set made it a nice pickup for me.

Thanks Trey. I'm thinking that these tougher dark tints may have been made in Canada even though they have "made in USA" on the back.

Todd,

Pretty rare. I do have one so there must be a sheet out there's worth. Nice pickup for sure at $11 in my opinion.

Adam - love that Joyce. He was a stud player...I haven't looked recently, but I wanna say he was one of the top OBP guys of all time. And a very good base stealer. The 19th century version of Rickey Henderson.

Phil, a big congratulations on your first Cobb. Both of those cards a really nice. The Shaughnessy has been a tough card to find in nice shape. Well done.

Porkchops-congratulations! It feels great, doesn't it? Every time I get a new T206 in, I still feel a thrill. Make sure to head over to "What's your Monster number" thread, and join in on the fun.

Well, it's been a slow month or so for me on the pre-war side. I just got this in today, so I've kept the urge to go nuts in check just a little longer. :D

A big thank you to Frank for this beauty. The Weimer portrait is one of my favorite cards in the set. Just a great picture.

Disassembling a dilapidated scrapbook ; slowly

http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/204295...ERGHORNSBY.JPG

....They have the Burke stamp on the back...the Rajah looks like it was the photo used for the R313 Fine Pen of 1936 and I'm not sure but I know I've seen that mug-shot of Moe Berg on a card I think...

...I have a long task ahead of me ; the kid who put the scrapbook together used a lot of adhesive and used both sides of some very sturdy construction paper as pages...he has almost the entire mid-thirties St. Louis Browns team plus the owner and manager and trainer...awesome piece, and all appear to be Burke photos

... The Berg was recently liberated from a different scrapbook and the photos from that one were all sold on E-Bay over the last several weeks...maybe you saw the Babe Ruth ( $500 )and the Feller ($48)...I won only the Berg but that's okay...

Prewar cards are usually so not conducive to holding an autograph due to their small size; Cracker Jacks are different. That's a beautiful card.

Edited to add: I also love the way SGC handled the grading of the card and autograph independently.
