Late last night I got a message from paypal that my account is in limited status and frozen. The term raffle, is in violation of their rules. So I must contact them to straighten it out. One stipulation is they wanted the advertisement of paypal, as a method of payment, removed. So I will comply.
I will send everyone a private message after I get done with them, but the "event" is still on. So give me a little time to converse with them.

Thanks for the kind words on this little project. RamRam, tired is not the word for it. I was up all last night worried about the PP thing. Trying to place, in order, what I have to do the following day and who I have to notify to make sure this "historical event" shall we call it, could continue.
I would like to thank everyone for being patient. It is a long drawn out process to do it properly, and we are not done. But I can smell the paint now.
I have my golf league starting tomorrow morning, but in the afternoon., I will be diligent at updating the who's paid up process so you guys can see where we stand. Graig has been forwarding all the PP information to me. I am guessing near dinner, I should be caught up.
The rest is easy now, and I think I will have Graig choose the main game and the backup for this first....ah, oh yea...Historical event".

You guys have been great, and as one member said of the
response he got from PP, "unique, very unique." Sounds like he knows you guys well.

After talking with Bill, it seems that some of our efforts to PM payment details to everyone who had reserved entries may have missed some folks, either because the PMs didn't go through or we somehow missed a member or two when going down the list. And in trying to be sure we covered everybody, I'm sure we also doubled up on a few, so my apologies for that as well.

If you didn't get the message, or have any questions, please let Bill or me know so that we can get you caught up.

Just have to check the entry list, if you have a "PD" next to your name, you are good to go. Gives everyone an idea how close we are, just about 60 entries to be paid. Some coming in by mail, some will pay by weekend.
I am hoping, with my fingers crossed, that about Monday, we may be able to select the date and games. Maybe by Wed or Thurs, we will have a new owner to an upcoming work of Art.

My work does a raffle for a $5 entry you can win a 4 hours of PTO. Last month only 5 people entered and I didn't win. So I wasn't really liking my odds of 1:200. But as I contemplated entering I looked at what number I would have got and now am really just watching as a viewer to see if that set of numbers comes up.

I may be interested. I just haven't decided if a 1:200 chance is worth $20 to me. But on the other hand I really would love one of his paintings. Definitely let me know IF it happens and force me to contemplate the risk assessment again.
