Leon-
Glad to see you're getting change back on your purchases.

At that rate, you'll be able to afford a Wagner in 4,877 years.

I guess I'm referring to his pocket watch, jersey and the contract that brought jaw dropping prices. Out of my league, but very cool early (non card) pieces of Ruth memorabilia. Those team pins from 1915, I believe, have sold for a pile of money.

Hey Raymond
If I were a set collector then a T206 Wags would be needed. Since I don't need him I can spend my few cents on other Ruth cards etc....

Obviously didn't happen because he wasn't in the major yet but I would love to have a Ruth done T-3 style.

Me too... actually it is my favorite early Ruth aesthetically.. probably my favorite card. Would love the E135 too, and of course the rook, but probably not in the cards for me.. at least any time soon. Yours is incredible Jim:eek:

Kashin (I know- it's borderline "early") is my most recent Babe pick up. I've gained an affection for the oversized Exhibits, Premiums, and PCs of the Babe. I'd love a 1921 Exhibit at some point.

Look at the "What's Your Monster Number?" thread. Over 100K hits already! I think it's still T206.

SWAT team

On Net54, T206 is the King when it comes to hits...however, Babe should be considered the Sultan of SWATting four baggers.

I had to work for that one, and in the end it isn't very good.

Ruth = King- love collecting Ruth.

Who else can pitch like Kershaw and hit better than Miguel Cabrera? Only Ruth!

rc4157 10-13-2014 06:34 PM

My one and only Ruth but very happy to have it.
Lots of great cards on this thread, thanks!

Two of my favorite early Ruths -- while not cards, they are very thin cardboard!

I always like to see more Ruth cards, early or later, as long as they are before he passed away. I don't have as much affinity for commemorative types but I know a lot of collectors do. Not sure if this one (shown before too) is early or late as there is no definitive year for it (or definitive set for that matter).

What Ruth is this? Anyone know? Never seen it before.
