Glad to add this one. Has been a bit undervalued for a long time imo for a card you don't see too often.

Great Ruth there! That Wagner is a stunner too.

Great pickup Pete! Awesome looking Ruth, one of his first cards in pinstripes. That baby is on my want list.

My only non caramel pick up from the B & L auction, and my first T205. The images of the minor league players in this set are amazing, with the John Nee being my favorite.

Couldn't be happier about this pickup from Scott Forrest's site: http://www.belltownvintagecards.com/default.asp.

Great item, nice price and amazingly fast cross-country delivery!

FYI - the second player from the left in the back row is Artie Clarke, who played in 1890 and 1891 for the New York Giants.

Very nice! I really like the 1914 Zeider. I think it is "the" unique card in the set. Of course the 1914 Mathewson and Pratt cards had the poses changed, but only the Zeider had two different cards with two different poses in the 1914 set, and had one of those poses (this one) omitted in the 1915 set.

How did it happen?

Nice pick up!

Unfortunately, I missed out on a couple of period scorecards recently that would have been perfect companion pieces, but such is the hobby! :)

Thrilled to get this and in rare form, graded and mounted. With the hand tinting, true "art"--much like my Shonen postcard for the Babe....And will be fun to ID players (Walsh, Cicotte, etc.)... Feel free to join in or direct me to link where folks have already done that.

Newest pick-up and one I'm excited about. The white mark near the side of his face is a scratch of the holder, not the card.

You definitively got a good deal Ian, nice pickup from Sterling! I was happy coming away with my only Sterling card that I bid on, hadn't seen one for sale in a while and needed it for my E90 Yankee collection:

Just got this 1907 Cubs Sporting Life PC in from Beckett. As far as I know this is the only graded example of this card. Have the '06 St Louis Browns one on its way as well!! Huge additions to my PC collection. Also has a stamp on the back with an exchange offer. Any info on the rarity of stamp vs. no stamp back? Most I've seen have no stamp.

The stamp is extremely rare, this is either the 3rd or 4th I've ever seen. Nice pickup! (they are all from 1906 by the way, the two Chicago ones just say 1907 as a way to honor the champs heading into the next season)

Thanks Jeff! I had a feeling the stamp was pretty rare, glad you could confirm that for me! My Browns example has the stamp as well (same seller), but unfortunately water damage has erased about half of the text.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I do not see Musial in this photo. June Allyson (note spelling) yes. To her left, right of the photo is Enos Slaughter. The other two I can not ID. Look like coaches to me.

Did that come off of the display that just sold on eBay? I was wondering if that was actually a Worch-issued store display since it was found in St. Paul and looks a little too professional for being home-made.

That doesn't "burst my bubble," because I never had a bubble to burst. I bought this because it was there and 1954 Cardinals, which I think someone on this forum will like (yes, I could very easily be persuaded to part with the photo). I never noticed, though, how much Slaughter and Musial look alike from profile. The long, pointy nose; attached ear-lobes, similar smiles and eyes. I also was thrown by the fact that Slaughter played for the Yankees in 1954. Thanks for the correction. I also "note" the spelling of June Allyson. I'm not sure what possessed me to spell her name wrong.
