Thanks Chris. 3 more Venezuelans to go! (if anyone has a 59, 60, or 68 they don't want?). Like the new profile picture.

Nice 52 Mantle Chris, I'm assuming you did indeed win it?

Pat, great 59 Mick, that is beauty.

It tough getting behind on this thread, it makes commenting on everyones stuff difficult, but there are some excellent additions.

I originally posted this in the pre-WWII July pick-ups thread like an idiot. I now have a nice raw 1948 Leaf Musial available for sale if anyone is interested.

Musial

Great looking card of The Man, Dan

CW 07-28-2013 09:55 AM

One of the coolest cards in the hobby, Dan. That's a gorgeous "5", too, with great centering and registration (tough on that issue). Leafs can look a little weird sometimes, but when everything comes together and the stars align, look out.

Gobucsmagic74 07-28-2013 10:50 AM

Thanks guys...I'm very pleased with the card. I've had a few come and go over the years, but this one is definitely a keeper.

The most I have ever paid for one single card, but I'm very happy with this one. Getting real close to wrapping up this 54 set. Just need 8 more. And only commons at that!

Congrats on the pick up! That card has always been on my wish list...

pawpawdiv9 07-30-2013 08:11 AM

thats nice..and in raw form....you got some balls to do that. Its also on my RC to-do-list.

robsbessette 07-30-2013 08:20 AM

Picked it up from a very trusted board member that I've done a bunch of deals with in the past. He offered a full refund if I wasn't happy. I was pretty confident with all the info provided and even more so now that I've seen it. I only collect raw, so if it were in a holder I'd still have to bust it out!

Cards....

....in their natural and intended state, free from the bondage of plastic, are not "raw"

Volod 07-30-2013 04:45 PM

Why don't we call cards in holders, "cooked?"

Unfortunately, I would call them "unavoidable.".
