History of the Baseball Base Ball Guides
1 Attachment(s)
Just got these in the mail today. Very well done, beautiful full-color photography throughout, detailed explanations of the year-to-year changes and evolution of the balls, and they even include photos of the boxes that each ball came in! Something this comprehensive has long been needed, and these have a spot waiting for them on my reference shelf (after I flip through the photos a couple more times).
Well done, Brandon, and I hope that you sell out of the copies you're taking to The National. Don't get too comfortable resting on your laurels though, because you know you're only going to get the "hard" ball questions now that you've put the answers to all the "easy" ones in print :p |

Hard to see in the pic but found a really nice large format photo of a baseball banquet with Tris Speaker and Carl Furillo. Banquet was held in 1954 in Reading PA. Found it with super cheap BIN on Ebay.

My July pickups

I'm new to collecting baseball items but I'm hooked! I'm a sign guy at heart and attend a lot of antique shows etc, so I picked up a few things that caught my eye while sign hunting.
A hand full of bats and mitts.and built a cabinet so my wife will stop pilling my stuff out in the garage! Love this site! |
