its not the slabs, its the finger prints all over the scanner. I noticed this after scanning 500 cards. The marks are always in the same place.
What a sh**head |

Good afternoon and Happy Father's Day.
Thanks to everyone who has helped tackle the Monster so far. There are some great cards in this thread, and I truly appreciate everyone's contributions. There has been quite a flurry of activity this weekend, and our set is now up to 87 cards...great job! The next two cards have some spelling issues. Makes me wonder what the folks at American Tobacco were putting into their cigarettes back then. All kidding aside, here are the next six: - Bill Clancy (Clancey) - Josh Clark (Clarke) - Fred Clarke, holding bat - Fred Clarke, portrait - J.J. Clarke - Bill Clymer After that...it's time for Cobb. Keep 'em coming, everyone. And have a great day. Best Regards, Eric |

That is one awesome card. I absolutely love it! Thank you very much for adding it to the Net54 Virtual T206 set. I am going to give the board members a little time to post their oohs and aahs before getting back to the whole alphabet thing. Once again, thank you. Best Regards, Eric |
Jeff,
Please follow up tomorrow with the number of lowball offers you receive in the next 24 hours. |

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have passed the Century Mark!!!
Great cards, everyone. The Net54 Virtual T206 Set now has 100 cards, plus a few duplicates (which is fine with me.)
#101 appears below. After that, it's: - Wid Conroy (Fielding) - Wid Conroy (With Bat) - Harry Covaleski (Coveleski) - Doc Crandall (Portrait, No Cap) - Doc Crandall (Portrait, With Cap) Thanks to everyone who has helped this thread come together so nicely. I truly appreciate all of your contributions. http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8a559a06.jpg http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/...psdf986c83.jpg Best Regards, Eric |
Sorry to, "bump" this thread; however, in light of recent events, I completely understand the relative lack of interest.
Please know that I am merely trying to gain traction with the Net54 Virtual T206 Set here. Best Regards, Eric |

Ted - Wow! That spread of cards is awesome. 13 cards with (if I’m not mistaken) 8 different backs.
Erick - That was another fine offering. Thank you very much. Vincent - Thanks for chipping in the EPDG. Much appreciated. Bruce - I love the Criger. Deep, rich colors…nice! Caine - Thanks for joining in and contributing. Great cards, especially the Dahlen. Rob - That scan of Dahlen is beautiful…great detail. Thanks for adding another fine card to our set. Jason - Yours is another high-res scan. I love the detail on that Davis. There are a few more cards to go, and then we get to one of the tougher issues from the set: Harry Davis (Davis on Front) Harry Davis (H. Davis on Front) Frank Delehanty (Delahanty) (Louisville) Jim Delehanty (Delahanty) (Washington) Ray Demmitt (New York) Ray Demmitt (St. Louis) Thanks to all for their contributions. They are truly appreciated. Let’s keep ‘em coming, everyone. Best Regards, Eric |

Kenny - Thanks for keeping things going with the Davis and Delahanty cards. They are great additions to our set.
Ted - That Quadruplicate Delahanty post is a home run, in my book. And the Demmitt (St. Louis) is absolutely tremendous. Thank you very much for these contributions. I am still recovering from being exposed to such amazing eye candy. :D Jason - Thanks for adding the other Demmitt and one of the many “Rubes” of the T206 set. I really appreciate your help with this thread. Clayton - I agree; everyone is adding some great cards to the Net54 T206 set. Thanks for introducing that nice trifecta into the mix. Ron - Thanks for the "bump." I appreciate the assist. There are 16 more cards to go until we hit the first true rarity in this set. I have an idea as to how we can include it here; however, would also be open to suggestions on how to go about this. In the meantime, let’s start with the three Mike Donlin cards: Fielding Seated With Bat Of course, if someone has all three, please feel free to post the trio. Then, we can move on to Jiggs Donohue (Donahue.) Keep ‘em coming, folks. We have a great thing going here, and I sincerely appreciate everyone's help with this thread. Best Regards, Eric |
Mike "Turkey" Donlin
A career BA = .333....Mike could be a HOFer, if had taken his BB career more seriously. However, he and his wife (actress Mabel Hite) loved Vaudeville.
Mike was the "Talk of New York". Furthermore, you can catch Mike in the Silent movies shown on the TCM Channel. Mike was in several of them. "The General" (1926) was the most notable. Mike fit quite well into the Hollywood scene, one of his drinking buddies was the famous actor John Barrymore. http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...p460sc42pb.jpg http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...p460sc42pb.jpg http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...onlin2seat.jpg http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...onlin2seat.jpg http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...nDonlin300.jpghttp://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...Donlin300b.jpg http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...08tedzanjw.jpg. .http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...zanjweaver.jpg __________________________________________________ ________________________________ LOOKING for these T206 guys to complete my AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 sub-set (75 cards) AMES (hands over head)....CAMNITZ (hands over head)....CRAWFORD (bat)....DOYLE (portrait) McGRAW (portrait-cap)....McQUILLAN (bat)....TINKER (bat off)....WILTSE (portrait-cap) |

The back of the Ewing looks like the back of a scrab that I have, except for the OP. I can't explain it either.
