So I guess you are saying they are right and I am wrong!!!!

I have never tried to attack or disrespect one of your members every day people do it to me so I get pissed off about for once then I am the one to blame.

No, I think folks are unhappy because you back out of multiple deals. The rest of the stuff is kind of amusing....and it's only 15 posts a day so how bad can that really be? But the reneging in auctions is a bad thing...regardless of the reasons (especially if it's more than an extraordinary instance)

Shoele$$ 05-21-2013 10:46 PM

Maybe a little breather is what's in order here for you. I think you've burned yourself out after coming in guns blazing.

I brought a handful of change to Dunkin Donuts to buy food and a drink, then came home and spent $370 on a Cy Young card off ebay before I even took a bite of a donut...I was literally being too cheap to spend a couple bucks more on real food. I weighed it out and decided DD for less than $5 was the right choice

Personally I would have checked the dumpster first for day olds. A buck can buy a nice vintage Topps card.

Sorry about my last post. I responded to a funny comment without reading the last couple of pages. Didn't realize this thread had gone into the Adrian Zone.

My understanding, as it has been explained to me, is that this is what the cool collectors do anyway.... Keith and Charlie don't post here. Why should you?

Rickyy 05-22-2013 12:37 AM

I know I'm addicted when I go through and read the entire thread about how others are addicted... -_-

Cardboard Junkie 05-22-2013 02:30 AM

Dang! This whole thread turned into a Nantucket Sleigh Ride.:(

gnaz01 05-22-2013 04:03 AM

I'm with you, Glenn. I was about to watch the latest episode of Castle. This seems more entertaining, however.

Geeeezzzz.....That's almost identical to the one I learned to drive in.

We also took a family camping trip across country in it in 78. I bought 78 O-peeChee in eastern Canada, and 77 OPC in the canadian portion of Glacier park. They'd just got them in!

You know you're addicted when...

...you complain to your 8-year old son about purchasing him a $15 Pokemon card, which he desperately wants because apparently it has special powers, and he says, "That's nothing, Dad. You have a cards that cost you $1,000!"

Game. Set. Match.

Addiction

You know you're addicted when you have more than half your cards shipped to work so the wife doesn't know about it ;)

...Or when your father-in-law opens up the guest room closet door and accuses you of being a "hoarder"...

Bridwell 05-22-2013 08:10 PM

Addicted

When I buy a card I already have, just because it was cheaper than what I paid last time...

(Hope the train wreck is over and this funny thread is back on track.)

ValKehl 05-25-2013 09:28 PM

I know I am addicted because for the past 20+ years, the best/fastest way for me to fall asleep at night has been to think about vintage bb cards and remove all other thoughts from my mind! Interestingly, I don't recall ever having a dream about cards.

Mick_7 05-25-2013 09:56 PM

When you sell off stocks and invest in vintage cards, much better return on my investment!

murcerfan 05-25-2013 10:07 PM

and how does he pronounce IT ?

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but the middle headstone put me in mind of Honus. It took me a minute to realize it was "Edythe" and not "Edy the". Needless to say it was a long day in the Hollywood Cemetery.<br><a href="http://s8.photobucket.com/user/zouraspm/media/zouraspm003/IMG_9612_zps5a215fc3.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a47/zouraspm/zouraspm003/IMG_9612_zps5a215fc3.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_9612_zps5a215fc3.jpg"/></a>

...when you play the lottery so you'll have 1 chance in 175 million to buy cards you wish to add to your collection.

npa589 11-03-2013 05:50 PM

When you see a card you need for a set, sub-set, or whatever, and you: PM the seller, email the seller, and then post in the thread, all within 2 minutes.
