BTW ... Very nice Nadja Leon! |
Someone was a little hungry it looks like.
I love this addition to my HOF collection. Only graded example at any level, as according to my research this same card accounts for the single Auth grade from both SGC and PSA. Maybe someone was hoping for a 1 on a crossover? http://i1119.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2197c3b0.jpg |
Jason,
I like that T210-4 Schafer ---- with his sweeter only on one arm, and over the shoulder, and his glove tucked under his arm --------- not your everyday pose :) But that makes T210's FUN |

After seeing a B&W e98 for sale, I was lucky enough to find one! Thanks Jimi!

My new favorite card, and my first Zeenut, Kid Durbin from the 1912 issue. What makes him so special? He was a bit player for the 1907 & 1908 World Series champion Chicago Cubs! It arrived earlier this month through a Net54 transaction.
http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...tDurbin001.jpg A couple of Ebay specials that I just got back from SGC today. My first T205 card, and a 1934 Goudey. Great way for a bottom feeder like me to break into the Gold Borders, and for about $10.00! http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...onFront001.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...anFront001.jpg |

10 month of negociation for this card. My first idea was to buy a SGC Magie. I will perhaps submit that card to SGC for a re-slab... |

I'm so happy...and broke. If I need to take a little spending sabbatical, well, it is well worth it. With Cracker Jack and this off my list, I'm going to take a breather before going after a T205 one-ear, a T206 Pink and one of the bread cards. Until then...I'm going to just enjoy this one! Thanks Craig...

After quite some time on Net54 this is my first attempt at an attachment, sure hope it works! I found these two weeks ago, all five have been glued in an album. So far I have been afraid to try any soaking or other attempt to remove the paper from the album. If this is too large or too small I apologize in advance!Attachment 86949

Excited
Just arrived today, pretty excited about it.
Featured here - http://www.t206museum.com/page/periodical_81.html Tax stamp is 1909. Factory 240, 1st District of PA. I believe that factory was known for producing T205s or T207s, but after the 1909 date I'm sure. Still a sweet piece of history for me to own. http://www.247hq.com/T206PACK.JPG |
Nice Wood!
Kenny,
I love that Smokey Joe Wood! Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, but isn't that a really tough M116 to get? |
Thanks Tim. I've been after one of these for quite some time.
|
Super-psyched about this pickup, finally feel like I have something that deserves posting in this section!
Card is not in-hand just yet, but I couldn't wait! http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2ec567ce.jpg http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/...psed24185b.jpg |

I know it's not a big deal but I just received in the mail today, the Boston Herald from April 5, 1913 with Plank, Chief Bender and Jack Coombs on the front page of the sports section. I'm going to get it nicely framed and put it in my office here at home.

Nice pick-up, Peter. I was thinking of buying one in very similar condition from 707 Sportscards, was that it?

Great cards everyone! First time I have ever seen the 1951 Hage's Dairy Cleveland Indians Ray Boone, cool card.
Also just love the Greenbergs, the 38's my favorite of his and the exhibit auto is awesome, grats. |
Just arrived today.
2 more to add to my HOF collection. A tough Boston Store and....wait for it...my first T206 (very clean EPDG back). I think the Kelley presents very well, despite the paper loss on the front and couldn't beat the price. http://i1119.photobucket.com/albums/...psfe6cbd3c.jpg |

Packs,
I would say your cabinet is circa 1880. |
Pete,
Thanks for the words. I've never been a pack guy before and having this creates a level of excitement I have not felt from acquiring any of the cards I've bought over the past few years. Now I need another one. Quote:

Congrats Rhett, I also received mine today. I’m extremely happy to add McGlone to my collection. This is the only double player Detroit card in the set and this copy is the first example I've seen in over ten years of searching. I would have been happy to obtain it in any condition, but this one is a beauty with jumbo borders and an image that looks better than the attachment.
|
Joe,
That is a gorgeous card. Congratulations on picking it up. Best, Kenny |
