Chris: That is a great back run of Solly Hofman, especilly the Drum and blank backs. How long did it take you to put that one together?

g_vezina_c55 01-12-2013 02:42 PM

Probably my favorite...

Nice Ted....that would be quite the subset to finish.

I still think this is a really iconic card.

Honestly, are there really any ugly T206's? ALL OF THEM are like little works of art.

Thanks Chris

It's done....and, you're right it is quite a sub-set to complete. Here's some of the tougher commons. I could post scans of my entire SOVEREIGN set (408 cards);
but, I think it would bore many here.

"BEAUTIFUL" is in the eyes of the beholder....to me AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 and UZIT cards are the coolest.

"Note: Try to fight the tendency--influenced by fame or price or rarity--to name only the "usual suspects." For example, to cite just one example: Is, say, the Walter Johnson portrait really more striking than, for example, the common Bescher below? Or the Revelle?"

ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, & WITHOUT A DOUBT!!! :D

[QUOTE=Abravefan11;1072702]Buck Herzog is my favorite card in the set.

DITTO for me....good buddy.

And, "angelic" is the perfect adjective to describe this image of "The Big Train".

Most eye-appealing to me, regardless of the players stature: I didn't have a scan of mine available so borrowed this one.
