Leon,

Will you have t-shirts at the National? Or are those all gone?

National evening

Hi Leon,
I replied to your private email but perhaps this is better.
I would love to attend for dinner (or snacks, whatever) and soft drinks/water.
I look forward to any informative speakers.
Many thanks for putting this together, wonderful idea!
All the best,

Just so everyone knows I had to turn in the Dinner guest count today, as my last post stated. There can be no more dinner rsvp's but after dinner drinks are still fine.

Leon 07-20-2012 09:17 AM

cash bar later in the evening

Just a heads up....I have had quite a few members say they would like to come over after whatever else they are doing that evening. I would love to see everyone there. That being said my main concern is to take care of folks that make the dinner a priority. There will most likely be a cash bar started around 11pm. We should be good and toasted by then :).

I would think many of those members that want to come over to the Net54 event are coming after the Legendary Auction. I would bet the auction house might prefer you do the cash bar BEFORE the auction instead of after it. :D

Hi. I just sent you an email, but I also wanted to post this to say that I am honored to attend your National function and to put me down for dinner and drinks. My username is judgebuck. Thanks. judgebuck

I missed the cutoff and was finally able to make plans to get to Baltimore. If there any cancellations I would like to attend - just myself.

Thanks.

Thanks.

If there are cancellations I will let folks know. I am going by a members number of posts for the openings that become available. In other words, if you have 5 posts and someone else has 300, and there becomes an opening, the person that posts more on this board gets the spot. I will have the RSVP list at the National and will be checking names to make sure everyone that responded and got an RSVP has a spot. I am looking forward to it. best regards

Bump

I'm bumping this on Leon's behalf so that everyone can be reminded of the time location of the dinner.

Just wanted to say thanks to Leon for his hospitality tonight at the Net54 event. My wife tolerated the baseball card conversations for waaaay longer than I expected (thanks to the free booze). Looking forward to the National tomorrow. Thanks again.
Christopher.

Thanks Leon!

Leon,
I would also like to say thanks to Leon for organizing the net54 dinner. :)

I had a great time hanging with everyone. It's great getting a chance to pair up a face with a name. Even though I'm more of a memoribilia guy, I had an excellent time talking with several of the card specialists.

I definately had a great time talking with you all. Good collecting to all!

Also would like to thank Leon for hosting a great evening, and to the sponsors and speakers as well.

Leon - I forgot to RSVP. Is it too late to get a seat?

Thanks, Buddy. Best part of the National and the speakers were excellent.

Thanks, Leon, for a delightful evening.

Thanks to Heritage and the speakers as well.

Enjoyed the dinner and meeting who I did, but I am amazed at how many I did not meet that were attending. A suggestion for next year, Leon, how about everyone introducing themselves? I know it will take a little time but I think most everyone would enjoy at least putting a name to a face even though they may not be able to talk to them or make a point of talking to someone you have wanted to meet.

Always a good time and did get to put many names to faces and meeting again with others I had not seen since Chicago in 2004.

Seriously Lee? We aren't talking 20 people in a room. We are talking 200ish. That is why the name tags were being worn. And as of a "next year" it is never a given for the dinner. We'll just have to see how next year is going and see if I can underwrite it and get sponsorship again. Even though Heritage helped out a lot, and there was an anonymous sponsor that helped too....there is still a several thousand dollar tab at the end of the night. So, we'll see. But as far as everyone introducing themselves. I dunno if that will work.

judgebuck 08-07-2012 08:38 PM

Leon, I got there very late because I had been at the Legendary auction. I missed the dinner, mainly because I tried to sign up too late last week. I appreciated your hospitality when I introduced myself. You encouraged me to post more, and I plan to do so. Thanks again. judgebuck

Had a blast!

Leon, everyone I met, and the great guys at our table,
Thanks so much for an awesome evening of talking baseball and cards. It was my 2nd dinner and I was more comfortable and got to know others better this year. I hope to converse with many of the people that I met throughout the year. Everyone was very friendly and interesting. Thanks to Leon , heritage, the speakers, and anyone else who helped put this on. I hope it continues because I feel it is the best part of the national and I've been to 11 now.
Take care everyone,
Tim Kindler
