i didn't know they only charge $20 for a foxx sig, i will have to contact them about other similar sigs like speaker and lajoie.
if the card had a fully legible sig I would've bidded 1k since i collect foxx stuff. nice pu either way. |

Two new pickups...a beater Hughie, and another Dauvray for the "baseball-related" collection..
|
Picked this one up off of the B/S/T from Bill L, my first M116 Sporting Life. I fell in love with the blue Matty years ago and I hadn't gotten a chance at one in my price range!

I scored my very first 1912 Imperial C46
http://www.ebay.com/itm/170869540802...84.m1439.l2649 Anybody ever soaked a C46? To be honest, I missed the extra scans at the bottom of the listing. Doesn't matter, it'll work as my first, for less than $15 |
My First Home Run Baker
I just got this guy back in the mail. I'm pretty excited about my first Home Run Baker. Thanks for letting me share.

Main or Mains?
1 Attachment(s)
Very very happy to pickup the 1919 Zeenut of Miles Main. I usually stay away from minor league cards but from what I understand this is his only baseball card... Now the question is, is it Miles Main or is it Miles Mains:confused:

Argh, another T206 post - Willis with a slightly tougher SC42 back

Picked this E270 up recently, not explicitly identified on ebay as a Tin Top but I still had to pay up for it :) The player they intended to depict was Herbie Moran but they used an early image of Pat Moran for the photo (same image as his T204 Ramly card) ...

Just finished my 1924-25 Aguilitas Segundas set thanks to Jeff Mohler. I put out my request for the last two cards I needed a few days ago and Jeff responded within hours that he had both cards and was willing to trade them to me. He was extremely accomodating, we quickly reached a deal, and I got the cards yesterday. You simply could not find a better trading partner.
I can't say enough about how nice it was to deal with Jeff. He epitomizes BST class and helpfulness. Once again, thank you so much!!! Hopefully at some point I will be able to return the favor. Kenny Cole |

Lou Gehrig autographed rookie card
2 Attachment(s)
Alright folks, the moment a lot of you have been waiting for and asking what my huge purchase was going to be. I kept it quiet to ensure that I got it, and boy did I ever get it. This was a once in a lifetime purchase for me, a Lou Gehrig autographed 1933 DeLong rookie card (yes I know all the banter for rookies, but if the 33 Goudey can be a rookie, why can't this. All that matters is I consider it one).
Never thought I would own a Gehrig signed card. He had a five year window to sign this, I consider this to be one of the rarest and most difficult signed cards of a HOF'er to obtain based on how difficult it would be to get him to sign this before his disease took his toll in '39 when he stopped signing. I know autograph is faint, card is not in the best shape, but I don't give a damn, it's a Lou Gehrig autographed rookie card!!! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do, so enjoy! |
If only MY Yankee first baseman card was signed...
thanks to kllrbee for a smooth deal on this Sporting Life pastel Chase...

Nice eye appeal, little bit of paper loss on the back on the edge destroyed the grade. Still, you buy the card not the holder :)

Pales compared to what's been shown lately, but the first 'edge-embossed' RPPC I've seen. I wish it were a baseball player, but unfortunately it's just an eccentric policeman with a huge billy club:

New pickup off the bay. I'm not sure of the specific date. But between 1911 and 1915, when Tener was Governor. It's the medallion piece off of a National Guard Marksman(sharpshooter) award.

I posted this one on the other side, but wanted to show it off here as well. Even though the Cravats are ugly as sin and most people wouldn't consider them to be a "baseball card," they are probably my all-time favorite issue. They are pretty scarce too. A few years can go by without seeing one, so I am really happy to add another one to the collection. Thanks again, Dan!
