This completes my E98 Evers!

Thanks Josh (JK) for this beautiful Evers. Love the rich orange color on this one.
Oh, Scott R., nothing wrong with being a low budgett collector. We all collect what we love mixed with what we can afford. I think that Cracker Jack is a sweet card with really vibrant colors. Congratulations on it! |
Quote:
Appreciate the comment though. The Cracker Jack is a beaut in person, the red background really pops! Great E98 Evers as well, that set is very neat with the black and white photos on the colored backgrounds. |
great stuff so far

Great stuff so far guys. It's not about the budget it's about enjoying what you are doing.
Scott R- On that Cracker Jack...that is a neat pose. Many of us collect catcher poses as their gear is really neat looking. I have types of several series' cards in my collection where the pose is of a catcher. This one didn't have any catchers. Thanks to a fellow board member for it. |
Nice pick up Leon. Is that paper thin or more like a card?
|
Hey Scott R- I like that Crackerjack Cady. Nice pickup!
|
Very Nice E221
Leon,
Congrats on picking up another E221. Very cool looking card! Number 3? Patrick |
Scott:
Congrats on the CJ! docpatlv: Nice T206 stack. Let me know when you are ready to send them my way. :) Leon: Amazing E221! Picked these up at the Mansfield, MA show on Sunday: http://www.chasingthemonster.com/img...284_lumley.jpg http://www.chasingthemonster.com/img...342_murphy.jpg |
Nice Leon, I'm sure it was tough for him to part with that.

1909 Carl Lewis Obak
2 Attachment(s)
This 1900 Carl Lewis T212-1 Obak arrived safe and sound yesterday morning after a rough trip from Texas. One edge of the card was trapped under the SGC black insert. Luckily, I always crack out the cards, and put them in a nice screwdown holder.
Thanks again Leon and Scott (B & L Auctions) Patrick |
My first T206!

I have not been to the Mansfield MA show in a few years now. When I used to go, all the dealers were selling newer cards. Is there more T-Card offering at this show now? If so, I need to check it out. Thanks & nice pickup |

close to 50/50. The dealer I purchased from had a large selection of raw and graded issues, including T206, T205, E90-1, E101, and R319. They had some 19th century items too, but I didn't make it to that end of their table. |
Green with envy
Sweet card.... I'm so jealous!

I'm really happy to have this card back. I've been working towards it for two years. I finally offered a trade that King couldn't refuse, haha. :) Thank you, King!!!

That card is gorgeous Trae. That's the finest Kawika I've ever seen.
|
Thanks, Doc - same here!
Haha @ the Kawika reference - gotta love his avatar, huh? Pack fresh front, but I guess it sat in the pack for a while because the Old Mill reverse has some faint paper loss lines from the packaging... so it's only a 40/3. Fine by me! |
Awesome Goudey Dimaggio Dan. It's on my want list!

Very nice Trae !! You've been picking up some nice ones lately :) Also liked Jaybird's pick ups also- love T206's :D
This one just arrived from RayBShotz on the B/S/T- he was great to deal with, a smooth transaction. My scanner sucks, and never does the cards justice.....but this one is very nice for the grade. |

Tango Egg Ty Cobb! Super Rare Card!
I recently had a very nice find of t213-II Coupon Tobacco cards.
The seller, who was from Metaire, LA., also had some Cracker Jacks a General Baking and This Ty Cobb with a Tango Egg back. The card had previously been rumored to exist, but apparently had never been seen, at least not by the masses. I have already sold the card, and I believe it is now in a SGC 10 Holder. Condition wise, truly a card only a mother could love, but what a rarity!! Here it is: Ty Cobb Tango Egg Back! https://www.gfg.com/tangocobb.jpg |

Best Pick Up of the Year So Far
2 Attachment(s)
Thanks to B& L for the latest addition in my E98 set, but no offense Leon and Scott, but my best pick up of the year so far was the card my 6 year old son Tyrus created for me. It is a vintage 2011 Postcard size, unused! And I bet it would grade at least a 20!:D
|
Nice 67 Topps Brooks Robby Bill! Those are tough!

1912 Rohrer Zeenut
1 Attachment(s)
Picked up a 1912 John H. "Dad" Rohrer Zeenut on eBay earlier tonight.
With this pick-up, I only need to upgrade a 1912 Walter Boles Zeenut, and then a 1912 Claude Berry Zeenut to complete my run of catcher pose cards in the 1912 Zeenut set. |
better late than never
Great cards, guys--motivation to keep the flame burning! Especially liked Jeff's 1926-1929 Exhibits Cobb and 1916 Mordecai (Three-Finger) Brown, and David B's 1923-1924 Exhibits Genewich (tough cards, those '23-'24's. Maybe someday I'll bump into the Ruth, at a time when I can afford it).
I was wondering, Jeff, if your collecting focus is the same as mine: stars and hall-of-famers, in the best condition you can find or afford? I would assume the yellow-toned Cobb is pretty tough to find. With best regards, Larry |
Brian
Went through your SGC Card Registry. That is a great assembly of cards. Much luck with your continued pursuit. I'll keep watching. Frank |

Frank...
I was trying to be ethical at all times, but the latest group you just posted made me want to commit larceny. Ok, maybe not that extreme measure , but any of those would be outstanding collector-grade cards for my man-cave. If you need to send them to me, I will need to send money to you...that keeps me ethical, you see.:D NICE cards! |
