Dude!!

I remember those Danish Go-rounds, they were awesome, wish I had some now.

+1

They were like extra-thick Pop Tarts. I remember the food and the cards well. I'm glad someone shared the box here!

Picked up a bronzed baseball glove to round out the collection of bronzed items.

This has nothing to do with baseball, but it does have to do with breakfast :D ...my second collecting love is vintage cereal boxes...just got this one in today. 1957 Sugar Crisp unopened box...someday I'd love to pick up one of the Ted Williams Sugar Crisp boxes.

Nice Dan,
Whats the aprox. year(s) on that Sugar Crisp box?

slidekellyslide 03-26-2011 11:26 AM

The Sugar Crisp box is from 1957.

Got this at the Antique Mall yesterday - Now I just need 1951, 1954, 1956, 1959 and 1960. I've knocked off two already this year which is amazing to me.

A few more publications with Bob Feller on the cover. One from ebay, one from the Philly show. There's at least one more out there from 1937 with Bob Feller on the cover. Now I just have to find it!

Got my 1st signed Babe Ruth Baseball over the weekend thanks to fellow Net54-er Brock.

Also signed by Gehrig and the rest of Murderer's Row Combs, Koenig, Lazzari & Muesel, along with Urban Shocker, a very faint Miller Huggins, and a few others.

I've been working almost entirely on the 61 Yankees over the past month, and have been able to pick up 11 additional autographs including trainer Gus Mauch on an Oct 1950 GPC. The great thing about that team is that all members are very attainable with co-owner Del Webb probably being the hardest.

Picked up two game used jerseys. The first is from the 1984 Wichita Aeros club. I have to do some research to find out who #14 was. I'm hoping Eric Davis. The second is a 1978 Pittsburgh Pirate jersey known as the bumble bee style for obvious reason. It was worn by Jerry Reuss.

Hughes (Long Tom) of the circa 1906 NY Highlanders that threw 9 innings of perfection in the 1st game of a doubleheader in 1910 before finally giving up a single in the 10th inning. Hughes ended up allowing 6 more hits and ended up losing the game 5-0 to the Cleveland Naps. I actually own the only known ticket extant to this game in my collection. Long Tom ended up changing leagues and threw a no-hitter against the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1916 while he was a member of the Boston Braves. <!-- / message --><!-- attachments -->

Scott - "Long Tom" Hughes was a member of NY AL only in 1904. "Salida Tom" Hughes (Thomas L. Hughes) pitched for them in 1906 and 1909-1910.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for this info and setting me straight on "Salida Tom". I'm happy to know what is the correct info on Thomas L....
Best,
Scott

Picked up an awesome 1903-1904 spalding zebra mushroom bat.
Matt

perezfan 03-31-2011 11:08 PM

Incredible, Matt...

That bat is off the charts! I didn't know there was a even such a thing as a Zebra Striped Bat and a Mushroom combined into one. How many (if any) of these have you seen over the years?

Awesome pickup!

MGHPro 04-01-2011 10:02 AM

Hi Mark
Theres one pictured in Dan and Ed's book but besides that I cant find any other examples. I know another collection with one it but thats about it.
