Well, I know where my next nightmare is coming from.
|
Here we go:
Back row (l to r): Ted Zanidakis, Brian Cataquet, Gene Wilder, Hal Lewis, Bob Marquette, me. Middle Row: Cobb and Edwards, Alan Rosen, Jeff Lichtman, Trae Regan, Jim Rivera. Bottom Row: Steve Murray, Leon Luckey, Joe Orlando. It's a veritable Murderer's Row. |

John, I always figured I had the sexiest legs on this site, but after seeing that picture I'm not so sure anymore!

We have not photographed or scanned any of the items I find this hard to believe! As proper & complete as the "Group" tries to be, I am sure these valuable Federal Lg items have been photographed upside down & inside out for insurance purposes. There's always an excuse not to share. PS---I was slow on typing David--My thoughts exactly! |

I will be the first in making this #1 nomination. Category: Trying to compensate for smaller things:D Block or Ban Mr. Dorskind. You have to be the biggest a$$ in the world to come on here and ask all of us for this stuff and for us to out our collections for your entertainment. Yet you refuse to share yours. I am sure it will go into some type of archive for you to make that little idea you were working on. Then you have the Balls to ask one of us to pay you to see your collection. There is not a thing in your collection other than the Garter item that would even interest me to look at. Maybe I am wrong but every time you post it leads nowhere. This is just my BIPOLAR opinion. Have a great day everyone. Reading this tread was amuzing at times yet painful to know it leads where all the others do. NOWHERE!!! |

John - I've missed your photoshops - you used to be good for one every 2 weeks or so. Glad to see the mimeograph machine isn't broken.
|
2 things to remember.... Never Piss of Wonka and never let him get a photo of you.... Be well Brian
PS Hi John, Show me some rare backs.... |
I have to go with The Chinese Restaurant as my number 1.
Adding a favorite line - from another episode. Jerry to George, "And you want to be my latex saleman?" |
Cool pic John. I'm trying to figure how you got me with the shades on.
|
The Chinese Restaurant is great, and is the only episode to be shot in a single scene.
|
Hi Barry,
I would have eaten an egg roll off of the table in 3 seconds for 50 bucks.... But I'd rather have a Spare rib.... Be well Brian |
What's the name of the episode where Kramer re-creates the Merv Griffen show in his living room? That one's in my top 5. The Marine Biologist is definitely #1 with me.
|
No way..... Deloris is the best episode... With the "shrinkage" episode close behind.... Be well Brian
|
Brian- did you know that when Elaine asks for the egg roll, and everyone at the table starts talking, it is actually Larry David's voice that we hear?
And "The Junior Mint" is another classic. |
Hi Barry,
You are right.... I LOVE the Junior mint episode.... It is the best.... Be well Brian PS I did not know that about the Egg roll episode... PS They are very refreshing.... |
" The Bet" is the best Seinfeld episode , i think season 4......
From what i have noticed since i joined, most guys who wanna show their stuff have websites with their collection.... Only chance i may have at any award is for most pathetic collection or most Peyton Manning cards(im at about 600 or so) either way, i would never show what i have for security reasons. Not to say that is what this is about but someone could surf on into the website... this thread gives them a collectors name, a city they live in and pictures of massive collections, wouldnt be that hard to find an address and go for a daytime visit.... i think thats why most guys said no way!!! |
Post #100! A tribute to the this train wreck of a thread which actually has righted itself somewhat with talk of Seinfeld. And although I have not dealt with John/Wonka, it's good to see him back photo shopping. I think the last time he was around was in the Reggie/Reginald Marsh aka Marshall Barkman days? Or was it when he was busting the beak of that T-206 museum guy.....
Thanks Fubar :) Post #101 |
I actually like "The Pony Remark", but it is not as popular as some of the other classic ones.
|
Who thinks an immigrant is going to have a Pony....
Be well Brian PS The "Bet" is good.... "George" sleeps well throughout the episode.... |

I think The Chinese Woman is underrated.
George's mom yelling, "I was duped!" is one my favorite lines (and one quoted in the Dewolf household on almost a daily basis). |
"The rines are crossed."
Okay, here's a tough Seinfeld trivia question, which I sent to Bruce Babcock: Name three different Seinfeld episodes that mention kasha (you can just name the scene)? |
...Hi Rob,
Donna Chang.... was an imposter....the whole thing is ridiculous.... Be well Brian PS I'm hungry.... anybody want some Kenny Rogers chicken.... |
Quote:
2. The "cigar store Indian" episode (Jerry and Elaine discussing the various smells of the Costanza household). Gotta think about No. 3. |
Quote:
|
I think there was one with George in bed and Jerry Stiller offered him kasha?
OK, Rob beat me. : ) |
Hi Rob,
I tried.... But spellcheck wouldn't let me.... It's all Barry's fault... Be well Brian PS We smokem peace pipe...... |
Quote:
Does the rabbi offer Elaine some Kasha when she's admitting to him she's jealous of George getting married? (I know he mentions Snackwells.) |
Serenity Now is a great episode.
Kramer puts up a screen door. Anytown USA George sells computers for his dad with Lloyd. Elaine is a shiksa. Jerry cries. "What is this salty discharge?" |
Episode with the line, "I didn't think there were any cool guys in the neighborhood."
|
Quote:
|
You got two. Here they are:
1) George and Elaine decide the Costanza's house smells like kasha and dandruff (it's a potpourri). 2) Frank and George sleep in the same bed and Frank eats a bowl of kasha (he can't use the folding bed because Poppy peed on it). 3) Elaine visits Rabbi Kirschbaum and he asks her if she would like some kasha varnischkes. Rob got the third while I was typing. |

Since this thread is so off-track anyway, I'll add this:
A couple weeks ago I was up at 5 a.m. on Sunday doing work, and I turned on an old Law & Order episode on TNT. This was one from the Ben Stone days. Included among the supporting characters were the actors who played Crazy Joe Davola and Mr Kruger. What a way to start the week. |
I think she does notice the kasha smell in the house too...that's when George serves her prune juice. He can't find the keys to the liquor cabinet.
Who are the two characters in Seinfeld named Barry? |
Crazy Joe Davola was a very underrated character...he was always playing it way over the top. I always loved his parody of John Wilkes Booth when he jumped onto the stage of Jerry's pilot.
And Mr. Kruger is a veteran TV actor. He's been around awhile. They didn't do a whole lot of work at Kruger Smoothing and Sanding. |

Barry the sniffing accountant is correct.
And of course Barry the Chimp. According to Kramer: "he started it." |
we think (the breadth and depth of) this thread has been hijacked!

Yep.... And how about the dude who needs hair due to his fake Cancer???
Be well Brian What was the dudes name with the Hockey tickets.... DEVILS..... |

Holy Crap.... I thought this thread was on the top 100 Seinfeld moments...
Am I wrong.....? Be well Brian PS They are REAL and they are spectacular.... |
Alec Berg...Alec Berg...sounds like a John Huston name.
It was very common to use the names of actual people. When Jerry shares a plane with the drunk who claims he has bells palsey, and Jerry has to take care of his dog Farfel, that character's name is Gavin Polone. The real Gavin Polone was a producer on both Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm. In fact there are probably dozens of characters on the show whose last name is taken from somebody who worked behind the scenes. |
Quote:
"It's a potpurri." The episode where Kramer works at Branch and Leland, and where George dates the model is classic. "I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to let you go." "I don't even work here." "That's what makes this so difficult." |
Kramer: You know this is my busiest time of the year.
Jerry: It's only your third day! |

George and the Frogger machine was funny episode.
Barry, What were the 2 guys names that Kramer got to help him move it. Funny stuff |
Snoopy and Prickly Pete?
|
Newman
The episode where Newman & Kramer get rid of the barking dog. The cops arrive at Newman's and he says, "What took ya so long?"
Newman was a great character. The opposite was a good episode. |

Would you guys stop hijacking this important thread!

I think one guy was Slippery Pete, that's one of the things he and Kramer argued about. He also called the electrical outlet "holes." |
Man, look what I basically started, even though these things tend to always flow in the direction of Seinfeld chatter when the masses are disapproving in the thread topic. "Elaine, he's a male bimbo. He's a mimbo!"
I had more time to think about it, and adjusted my list as I believe the episode entitled "Reservations" (I think that's what it's called) where Jerry's car is stolen and he calls his own cell phone. Also, thanks Steve for the vendor box question. Didn't realize they came in that form. DanC |
I can't believe I missed this thread because I had to spend quality time with my g/f.
Did anyone mention the Bizzaro World episode? Kevin, Gene and Feldman!! And of course their Bizarro mailman Farkas. How about the Jewish Singles episode? Frank relives his experience as a chef in the Korean War..."They were just boys".....hilarious |

Bruce would have been a great character on Seinfeld. |
I really don't fit in with this crowd...
I've only tried to watch Sienfeld twice, and both times it turne out to be the episode where Elaine is in a steam bath and falls in to a woman Jerry is dating and decides the breasts are real. Never made it to the end of the episode either time.
Only tried to watch "The Office" once, and found it nothing like "Office Space" and never tried again. |

I apologize to the board if I'm derailing this Seinfeld thread. I would like to add something of my own, but since I've never seen a single episode of Seinfeld, I have nothing to add. Great photo Wonka! Jantz Morey |
Love Bookman, the library cop.

This thread is like a really bad combover...it pains to me to look at it...but amusing none the less... I wonder if there is a new member that just joined clicked on this thread as the first read...lol.
Here is my contribution since I don't have a Forbes top 100 collection... Bania: Why do they call it Ovaltine? The mug is round..the jar is round..they should call it Roundtine....that's gold Jerry..gold! Btw..now if I buy cards again from Leon or Barry I will be thinking if they are packing my cards while wearing those outfits... |
Jerry- I'm glad Rob answered that one because I would have missed it. I remembered Pete, and that's it. That wasn't a favorite episode of mine.
|
"I looked into the eye of the big fish."
"Mammal." "Whatever." "And I pulled this out." "Is it a Titleist?" George nods head. "Hole in one!" |
Joe- a lot of time went into that closing segment. I heard the writers stayed up all night getting every word perfect. It's a classic moment.
|
Favorite episode......Soup Nazi........Lev Kasem(sp?)....he was at the last National in Anaheim signing ladles for $25. One of the big regrets of my life that I didn't get him to sign one (oh, and that first wife of mine).....
Favorite scene.....at Joe Mayo's party, upon arrival, with Putty wearing the reddish looking fur coat, Elaine turns to Jerry and says 'I believe you know Dr. Zeus'......that one sent me off the deep end the first time I watched it..... |
re" response
I nominate ARCHIVE as the best collection on net54 top 100
|
What was the name of the episode where Kramer was mistaken for being mentally impaired because he was wearing big sneakers (designed by Jimmy I think) and couldn't speak clearly because his mouth was numb, having been to the dentist? That one cracked me up.
|
"The Jimmy" of course.
