Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Yes, Bruce, you are correct. It was Tip Top madness last night. I am still in mourning over being the bridesmaid on both the Wagner and the BG Johnson.

Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Rob, I won three cards but, alas, did not achieve any mega returns on the very important bids last night. Will settle for the mini-returns below:

From my perspective, that is definitely a MAJOR acquisition.

An interesting series. It is thought that there would be 50 baseball players in the series, but less than that have been identified. I've never seen one of these in person. Have you any others??

Great card. I like it better than the Sporting Life.

Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Frank, I only became aware of this issue from reading last year's Mastro catalogue in which they had a Cobb. I have never seen one before or after until the Brown the other night. It may be a 1 of 1 from what I can tell. SGC has only 9 listed in their pop report, with each having a pop of 1. PSA has graded just one -- Cobb.

Posted By: leon
Thanks for the validation of what we do, my man. I love collecting population rarities just as you do. I guess we kind of go against the grain of set collecting but hey...it's the way we are. I really need to come visit you sometime too!! My wife and I went to MAUI several years ago for a full week...it was our second honeymoon. Funny thing is that it rained almost everyday while we were there, at least a little bit. What a great place....you and David M are lucky guys....

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
I be a guppy, too...

As experienced and knowledgeable as guys are on this board, I suspect that less than half have ever heard of a Jones, Keyser & Arras cabinet card. I've known of them for about 15 years... and never seen one.

Maybe someone should start a Jones, Keyser & Arras cabinet thread and post one. I wonder how many are held by board members? Again, one fine card, Jeff.
