Bobby Frasor looks like he's walking in cement in comparison, and Q can't handle the ball all that well. Had me worried during the OSU game.

-Seth B.

Posted By: Brian Weisner

Hi Seth,
Ty's Ok,
But Roy doesn't want to rush him back. Don't expect to see him before the Rutgers game unless he improves a great deal. Bobby will be fine in a normal game setting and QT can spell him 8-10 minutes a game, so don't worry. They only called 27 total fouls in the OSU game and from what I undertsand both teams are full of bruises, so it's like going to DOOK every week.
Let me know if you get to NC and we'll go to a game. Be well Brian

Posted By: Seth B.
Hey Brian, Ty is just incredible to watch, as good at the point as Felton was, but maybe even quicker. I'm thinking we got a good shot in March with him healthy.
Thanks for the offer, too. I'm down there so infrequently these days, but my parents still live in Chapel Hill and get season tickets, so I usually take what they don't want when I pass through. I'm glad to hear a fellow NC resident and T209 collector on this board isn't a dookie, though.

Best,
Seth B.

Posted By: chris bland
Trust me, if you're using a win over Illinois as a barometer for your teams' skills, you will be sorely disappointed. I just get tired of hearing how skilled Coach K is at cobbling teams together every year with sometimes as few as a half dozen HS All-americans!

As for Illinois, very few men can turn a 37 win team two years ago into the team we now run out onto the court. Bruce Weber is one such man however.

Despite that, I don't mind that we missed out on Jon Scheyer after seeing him play this year.

Posted By: JK
Seth,

Didnt realize you were a Tar Heel as well - Wow, we almost have numbers. If you come to the Hill, we will all have to get together for a late night meal at Time Out. Its no steak dinner, but I used to live on chicken and cheese biscuits. Maybe we should just start planning something for the dook game. Jeff L. even though your a dookie, feel free to come down and join us - we'll find you a seat so you can watch the beating in person.

Barry,

As your customers come to the register to pay, remember each should be asked "would you like a little trim with that card?"

Posted By: Lee Behrens
I avoided this thread until now, but got sucked in only to find out that Peter C. must be doing some good drugs.

Do you have any idea what you actually post Peter C.? I don't know about you but I certainly do not want to be the town clown. Now go sit in the corner and put your dunce hat on. Where is Wonka to put a good visual to this.

By the way the biggest down fall to card stores, and I did run one for over 3 years (great fun), was that it got to the point where to many people that purchased from you eventually figure out how to buy things cheaper and than all they do is hang around the store and you are stuck with the over head and no income. This got even worse with the advent of the internet. The tough part of having a store and buying inventory to make a profit to keep the doors open is finding the inventory at that price level. Well when the price guide says a card is worth $100 but actually only sells for $50 on ebay where are you going to find someone willing to sell the card for $25 or less?

I have been able to amass a nice collection through buying and selling on ebay but I have no overhead but ebay fees.

Lee
