Also is there a time where the contest will be closed or can someone post a guess right up to the second the auction closes?

Thanks for doing this. I like this more than the trivia. Mike Wentz used to do some pretty cool contests over on the SGC boards a few years ago.

Greg

Posted By: leon
First of all I apologize (and have emailed privately already) to Pete as he had his sights set on the card up for auction. I also apologize to anyone else I offended. Pete- hope you don't hold it against me I was just trying to have fun. I doubt this publicity will make it go much higher as the folks spending this kind of money generally keep pretty good tabs on the market. It could go a little higher so ...sorry about that.

Greg- If someone bids on and wins the card, on ebay, and also guesses the exact amount, then they will win the grand prize (E121) also. If you think about it the top bidder's bid will be set by the underbidder too...So there is a great chance the top bidder's max bid won't be the exact amount that wins it. I rarely win something on ebay with my exact top bid...if it happens then they win this card too though. The contest isn't closed until the auction closes. So, you could do your 1 (it is limited to one post and one edit) edit close to the end. That is why I said that in case of a tie the first physical post wins, not the edit.....For example..if someone guesses $1000 in their post...on the first day...then edits their post to be $1100 on the last day...and someone else edits their post to be $1100 also, then the first physical post wins...if there is a disagreement on anything the board decides the outcome....
best regards....
Leon,
