I think the planes went for opening bid.<br /><br />The highest priced thing in the auction was a Jackie Robinson from the Doders' barnstorming tour in '56. Well over 3K. I have a Jackie 3 feet off the ground, and I also have a Japanese Jackie (with "Chico Barbon" on it in Japanese)--and besides, I didn't have that much dough!<br /><br />The Robinson I have, and a Tachibana Doby, and a Ruth phone card are the only Americans in Japan I've ever been interested in...though the two photos of Cobb in that auction were excellent ones.
