Posted By: Dave
The only card I have that could match up with Ben's loss is the T210 Zimmerman. I know Barry was going to focus on this, but I'd be happy to contribute this.

Maybe Barry could do something else?

Dave

Update 2/23:

I actually gave Ben the T210 that was stolen. This was back at the "Give a Penny, Take a Penny" thread.

So, I can't replace it with another Zimmerman. But, since this was just a type example of the T210, I can supply another from the same original set.

Posted By: Scott Elkins
Cycle - Gregg (GAI 1, but not that bad - just two or three heavy creases) and the Napoleon - ungraded FR/GD Engle with a collector's stamp on the reverse and rounded corners - no creasing. I have not posted that I will look out for any cards. However, I have most of Ben's collection memorized, since we did a recent trade and were getting ready to do another. I can DEFINITELY spot the five cards I traded him:
T207 Cycle Gregg (GAI 1)
T207 Napoleon Engle
E104-1 Mack (the Mack didn't have any creases, but had a distinctive "scratch" on the top left corner)
T206 CB Back Lattimore (SGC 50)
E253 Oxford Holke (SGC 30)

Possible way to help Ben
Posted By: rich
Hi,
I am a little late I know. But I noticed on Bens site he was also looking for a T205 Eddie Collins Mouth Open. I was in the works for a trade for this card when everything happened. I know it VERY well and did not see anyone "adopt" this card. I'll take it if no one else has.

Also, I have been in contact with Ben since the incident. I am going to attempt this here, but if this is not the appropriate place then I apologize. In regards to helping him, Nothing will ever replace his cards, but I would like to offer up a "collection" of sorts of cards (even beaters) that we might have to "donate" to his collecting cause. I am donating 2 t207 (beaters) Walker and Donahue I believe. I don't have them here in front of me. But I figure every little bit helps and maybe just maybe he will eventually get his cards back as well. If anyone is interested in "donating" contact me off the boards and I can give you his address or send them for you or whatever.

Anyways that is my public service announcement. Fianlly is there any update on his cards? retrieval of any, etc...
Rich

Posted By: Julie Vognar
Please send them to me first, unless you live in Canada. We have 20 cards so far, some very impressive, and 17 have been mailed. e-mail me for my address (I'm the official sneaker=across-the border) if you live anywhere in America, or in any foreign country except Canada. Thanks!

There's one that just started its journey toward me today, and someone said he was waiting for a deal to materualize about now, so you're by no means too late!

As for actual +replace, ment," there hasn't been much of that--even the terriffic cards are not exact replacements. One I can think of is a N28 Mulvey, with severe back damage but a perfect front--Ben used to have one almost EXACTLY like that, but not quite as well centered, and with worse back damage. Ben says it's also fun getting new cards (I also found this to be true when I had to sell most of my collection, and when I started acquiring more, I didn;'t nevcessarily get the ones I had had).

As far as I know, nothing has been found--I really did a double-take on the Mulvey, but it's a little different.
