I am always on the lookout for any and all baseball cards of Deacon Phillipe. Especially those with an actual photo of him on the card. I realize that some cards will be out my price range as the majority of these are meant for my family members who are direct descendants of Deacon. Among the cards are: (2) different SGC graded E97 Briggs B&W blank back cards (possibly proofs). SUPER RARE cards. I have only seen 3 of these (the 3rd is in my own collection). Anyone else ever seen these? Have any? I'd love to know, if you have. These are supposedly 50x tougher than standard E97's. T206 Tinker portrait, HINDU PSA 3 E102 Honus Wagner, batting SGC E90-1 Jeff Sweeney - a very clean SGC 50 E92 (Dockman) Chief Bender (white cap) - SGC 50 And... It comes in a large 3-ring binder, and costs $37 shipped (Hey, don't blame me. 3-ring binders are expensive. Blame the 3-ring binder guy. Plus I accidentally poked myself with one, which required an extra hardship fee). It is encyclopedic (thought not alphabetically ordered) and well illustrated. It does not include a price guide, but does cover issues of rarity and what types, ages and subjects are pricier than others. I won’t be able to ship until Wednesday or Thursday (friends visiting from the Midwest), so there’s no rush to order. More specific information is available through my website or you can email me at the above linked email address. My main worry is not that no one will order, but that too many will. This would require a trip back downtown to buy more 3-ring binders.

Posted By: HankronFor an authentication course I'm teaching, I am looking for bulk lots of the following INEXPENSIVE items: -- black lights -- hand held microscopes of decent power -- early 1900s T or E cards: NON BASEBALL, as has to be inexpensive -- 1880s T cards, possibly lithographic trade cards: NON BASEBALL -- 1880s Old Judge-style real photo cards: NON BASEBALL -- Reprints of T206s, Goudeys The intent is that each student will receive his or her own black light and microscope to use and keep, and samples of real and corresponding fake items to take home. I'm not looking for PSA9s or T206 Cy Youngs, as neither I nor the students could then afford the course.
