T206 Walsh - Blue Old Mill distant cousin (lol)
2 Attachment(s)
Picked up this Old Mill Walsh recently. Been eyeing it lately and the front looked very familiar. This front/back combo seems to be tough - so figured why not. Dug a little deeper and the flaws on the front match the flaws on the infamous "Blue" Old Mill Walsh. The broken border, the red dot on forehead, and the blue ink dot on the "I" in 'Chicago."
This is a black Old Mill for sure (though using the digital microscope, there seemed to be faint traces of dark blue smudges here and there, but nothing even close to the Blue Walsh/Powell/Eberfeld.) Just an interesting front on this black Old Mill back. |

Please don't be SAD (Sam Jones) or (Joe) JUDGE me if I LEFTY (O'Doul) any of your favorites off this pickup extravaganza.

1907 Dietsche postcards of William Donovan and William Coughlin. I only have four of the Dietsche’s but the Donovan is a duplicate. Before posting in the B/S/T section, does anyone want to trade this Donovan for another Dietsche? Attachment 635100

Gary, I think you may need to collect some additional variations--what about the color variants WITHOUT the print marks on the right border? Is there such a permutation?

Awesome Jeff, I bought that postcard on eBay a couple years ago when it was raw but the seller cancelled the sale and guessing sold it to someone else. Love it.
