Well I'll be a pickled herring...congrats Cory! I would assume SGC would have spotted if it had been re-backed, but of course grading companies were created to disappoint us when it comes to determining authenticity and if a card has been tampered with.

Certainly your previous scans seemed fairly convincing, stain or no. Would love to see it here once you get it in hand. Unless you are completely head over heels in love with it, my advice is to send it to a major auction house, and let the T206 crazies do battle for it. Perhaps it would score you some major hobby money to pursue what you really would like to pursue.

SGC Cert For Seitz Piedmont 150

The SGC Cert # is 8214232 - so it scans can be looked up on gosgc.com. I just learned this was available the other day. I'll post pics when I have the card in hand, but frankly their scans should be better.

When looking at the pop report link on their site for I guess Piedmont 150 set - I see several 1 of ones. Frank Chance Yellow Background (which may have been mislabelled - I'm pretty sure I owned a Red background labelled as Yellow), Paul Davidson, Gus Dorner, Jack Knight, Herbie Moran, Spike Shannon. All of which are minor leaguers except Knight (and Chance). Anybody know anything about any of these?

Whoa this is big if SGC authenticated it, although they do miss sometimes. I'm guessing this is scrap that the printers were using to prepare for the 350 series. That's a big time card.
