Tim,
That Lombardi gamer is badass!
Just curious, what are the stats about the bat, length and weight?
Schnozz was a big guy. I always wondered about what bat characteristics he preferred as a player

Thanks Scott. I measured and weighed it when I got it and then re-weighed it just now. 35" long and still 35 oz. Could have been a bit more when originally used as his orders during that time period were generally 35 oz-38 oz. This one is spot on for that.

The guy I got it from said it originally had a glove and signed ball with it but they were taken long ago by some step-relatives with drug habits. I suspect this guy had his own drug habit, but that's another story for another day. :)

That's a pretty hefty bat! Thanks very much for the response.

Fabulous photo, Mark. Wonderful period piece. All those young Terrors of America and Gehrig with a cigaret at the ready. At first I thought the lad in the back row was digging his nose for all posterity but quickly realized his faced was photo-bombed by the short kid's waving hand.

Thank you David. I love these types of photos as well. The ones with kids are especially poignant to me.

Kalamazoo Lassies jersey

Was very fortunate to pick up this early 1950's Kalamazoo Lassies jersey through a connection with a good friend. Missing one button, the 'King' neck tag, and the belt buckle, but overall in great shape. One of my 'white whales' and still in shock to own it.

Matt - HUGE congrats!! I don't collect stuff from the Women's Baseball League (is that where it's from?) but I can appreciate its rarity AND that it was your white whale. Now to find that belt! :)

For me - this was not a white whale as I am too much a Mets fan but it was too rare and early and with graphics for me to not go for it. I think REA dated this Yankees pennant to 1915 which aside from the Frank Chance pennants that say "New York" this is the earliest Yankees pennant known. Regardless, just way cool. Hope you like.

Keep enjoying your pick-ups everyone!

Wow! Congrats, Matt and Peter! Those are both killer items in completely different ways....

It gives me chills to see that Lassies Uniform. Such a critical time in our country's history, and does it ever tell a great story! Really love the awesome Lassies Patch, and iconic AAGPBL sleeve patch. The green/yellow color scheme is beautiful, and they beat Charlie Finley to it by about 20 years!

And Peter... I believe that's the only known Yankees Oversized pennant. Such a rare beauty. Very happy it found the right home!

Matt, I love the that uniform, Congrats! I use to have a women’s baseball uniform that I regret selling many many years ago. Have you been able to identify which player used this uniform? any photos with the uniform?
Again, great pick up.

The bats, pennant and AAPGBL uniform are off the charts!

I've not been able to photo match it and I have a good sized Lassies program/photo collection. This jersey could have been used in Muskegon before the team moved to Kalamazoo, so it was probably worn by several ladies over the years. Thanks!

Maybe this 1973 vintage signed Richard Petty PC?
