I’m still waiting for my grades on my 32 cards [emoji2372][emoji1695] Past the ten days. Hopefully not too many beyond. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Sounds like they've slowed down. My small 2 card order was received 2/13. I kind of thought it might hit post-grading Friday, but it didn't.
|
It does seem likely are backed-up but then why not give Transparency? We are a little backed up, instead of 5-10 days like your website says it will likely be more like 10-20 days til your order is graded?

Just found out it was because my Deckle edge proofs threw them a little and slowed things down. That's fair.
|
I'm sitting on business day 13 for a 4 card order.. no bueno!
|
Sounds like SGC caught a little case of senioritis when it was clear they were being bought out.

Meanwhile, my PSA 1950s order from November 14th still isn't done yet. It's been in the assembly stage for one month now.
I think SGC is doing just fine. |

Guess I'm looking at Monday now. That'd be business day #20 with no movement at all.
On my last entry I could see they had started processing/researching items, which made the wait seem more manageable. On this one, card names haven't been populated yet on like 90% of the order. |
As long as they can be back in time.. to get to psa before they raise their prices, I'm good

SGC processing
Republicaninmass- what a relief to know you're "good" with making asshat
remarks about someone else's happy news. Good Lord... Trent King |
Order from 2/28 is on its way back, still nothing on 2/5 order...

I'm amused by your "trade inquiries" so haven't blocked you |
They have not met the 5-10 days on my last two submissions one of which was before the PSA purchase. My prior order wrapped around Christmas and took a month. My current order has been in for 10 days. I expect another week or two. Im sure the plan is to catch up so they are not changing the lead times officially. Brent replies quickly with an apology that they are running behind. I do agree it would be reasonable to post on their site we are not at 5-10 working days and give a realistic, honest lead time. They are already acting like PSA. I have 100's of ungraded S74 silks. I wonder what PSA will do about those. Will they grade them or put a PSA approved sticker on the holder ? I think I will ask my contact at PSA. If he answers anything relevant I will post it....Unlikely he will have much to say other than we are looking into it
|
PSA has never graded those, I wouldn’t expect that to change right now. Your only option would then be SGC and they only grade them as Authentic, nothing numerical.
|
I have a 6-card 5-10 business day order that's currently on business day 20. I understand delays, but the fact that they're still advertising turnaround times that they can't meet is troubling.

They are all behind. My last 25 SGC was a week late in grades then another week to get the order back.
My current PSA 65 day order, turn around time? sent in early NOV is nearly a month late and counting . . . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My order finally looks like they are starting to work on it. More of the card identifications have been filled in, and the order of the cards has been rearranged. (I've been refreshing the app far too frequently).
However, the best item I sent in, an oversized card, is no longer listed......and the card id has been changed on the invoice too. I'm hoping this is just an artifact of watching the process too closely....but it feels odd. |
my Feb 7th order is finally on its way back.
|
I have a post-war submission that they marked as received today. Will follow up when I see progress being made on it.
|
Guess is about 2.5 weeks from receipt to grading complete.

Sgc
I'm putting together a small submission to SGC, but it's not a high priority.
When I do, I'll post the results on times. My submissions consistently take 17-21 days from door to door over the past couple years. Republicaninmass- I'm not amused by your 7th grade mentality responses. If I reached out you once privately, it wasn't memorable to me (stunner). Maybe consider another hobby? I recommend something so remote that you have no online access (selfish of me, I'll admit). Block me to your heart's content, Hemingway. Trent King |

23 card oddball vintage non sport order got there 3/4.
Popped yesterday. Hasn’t shipped yet but I don’t have any issues with that turnaround time. |
Business day 13 has now come and gone on my last submission
|
I submitted 1 card at the $85 level on 3/8 at the Philly Show. Still no movement on that order.

My most recent order was logged in on 3/21, so it sounds like I've got quite a ways to go still. Although I don't have any oddball issue cards that might cause further delays in my order.
I suppose the good news is that the Collector's acquisition doesn't appear to have adversely affected the demand for their grading services. |
I had a 21 card standard order they received around March 3rd, and I received them back on March 25th.
I was actually away on vacation when they were sent back, so I was actively rooting they would be on the slower side this time around. :D Luckily we had somebody watching the house, and they were able to receive the package for me. |
Grades posted, and cards shipped
This was business day #30 (they've had them since 2/20). The bad news is that I don't think they understand Japanese menko (or at least the grader I got this time). Almost everything is flagged as "minimum size not met" or "evidence of trimming" (I always have an issue with the 2nd term, as it implies deception). But evidently SGC is looking for kids to hand-cut their cards with more precision.... |
Quote:
I then sent it to PSA and they gave it a numeric grade and the "hand cut" designation. Here's a link to that article: https://www.beckett.com/news/sadahar...ards-and-more/ Also, a friend of mine had a different Menko Jackie that was graded as SGC AUTHENTIC as well. After he sold it, the buyer crossed it to PSA and it also received a numeric grade (1.5) even though the right edge was butchered and IMO was deserving of the "Authentic" grade. |
