Had a long fire side chat with eBay and this was their reasoning. If a seller uses fedex, dhl, ups ect first they can’t authenticate it and send it to a P.O. Box. after. They have to use the same service the seller started with.

Trust me I want to go back to my P.O. Box because my local post doesn’t do signature half the time and will leave expensive cards in my mail box. I’d rather have it sit at the post than in my mail box.

When it first started, I was okay with it, but thought they should allow the buyer to opt out. After trying it a few times, I kind of like the program. The delivery time was still fast, and the card comes in a little presentation box like a Seiko. One time they even included a personalized note that said something to the effect of, "excellent choice, you have great taste."

OK That makes sense
But I buy a bunch of stuff on ebay like supplies & right before I pay, it states they don't ship to a PO Box, so I click the option that has my street address.
Why doesn't this ebay program give you the same option?

Not sure but hopefully they will allow P.O. Boxes soon! I will go right back and get one. You don’t need a large box, if it’s small they will just put a pick up slip in it. I also asked if they could have a memo allowing us to state we still want the item if it has a scratch on the slab or is raw and over graded by the seller. Imagine buying a super rare card just to have it returned because the seller said it was NM and it was VG. A few times AG returned the item I really wanted. I’ll take the item regardless of condition as long as it was original.
