Thanks Bill, much appreciated!

At times I feel collectors like us could probably grade more consistent than any of these third party dudes. ;)

I had a small 2 card that was received on March 15th and graded March 30th. I knew they wouldn't grade high but am happy with the quick turnaround as I just wanted them slabbed.

Value versus Collections

Most buyers believe SGC graded cards sell nearly half price versus PSA. As both a collector an seller, I'm still not brain washed, although many buyers are.

IMO those cards for your collections in SGC holders are beautiful!

Knowing the 1961 set well, that is the nicest 2.5 Elgin RC you could ever wish for. I suspect the back has that gum stain or residue that is very difficult to remove!

Sweet card! Wow~

Peace, Mike

I agree, that seems like a pretty harsh grade on the Baylor card. But is that a bit of paper loss on his face?

Head scratcher. Should be (expected) an 8. This one going up for sale. Always loved the 1964 Brock.

Thanks. I love the 61 Fleer set. It's my absolute favorite set ever made. I have the full set, all well-centered, which is pretty much the only thing I care about (other than no creases or registration issues).

Ya, when I saw this one up for auction, the price didn't even matter. I was determined to win it at almost any cost just because of how rare it is to see a card like this slabbed in a 2.5 holder. The reason for the grade is paper loss on the back. Which reminds me... I seem to recall seeing a thread somewhere around here where people were discussing the highest possible grade a card could receive if it has paper loss on back, but I couldn't find it. If anyone knows which thread I'm referring to, please let me know. I think this is probably on the upper end of that expectation for cards with paper loss.

Here's the back of the Elgin Baylor RC.

Submitted these through my LCS in the second week of February. Got these back on the 31st of March. So about 6ish weeks or so at the basic 30$ submission.

Pretty happy with all of the grades that I received back and with the time frame. Have another 10 card submission ready to submit next week!

Was hoping for an A+, but at least these won't hurt my GPA.
