Saved me a call to HA. Good to know others are waiting so long. I won something from Collect Auctions on the same day as Heritage and got Collect stuff about a week ago and that was after they shipped “late” after missing my payment.

ullmandds 12-06-2021 01:58 PM

guessing my REA winnings arrive before my heritage winnings.

Ha, I'm guessing the same.

I sent my payment for REA today, so we'll see which shipment arrives first.

Might be even longer before we receive the Heritage auction winnings.

Due to overwhelming volume, we are experiencing unexpected delays in processing and shipping purchases by 3-5 weeks. We are also experiencing unusually high call volumes and emails, leading to longer hold times and delayed responses. We apologize for any inconvenience, especially at this time of the year. We are working as quickly as possible to catch up, and we thank you for your patience.
Ouch. 3-5 weeks. Hopefully before the New Year? :(

I don't understand "overwhelming volume"

What a joke. I am literally never buying from them again. Does anyone think that heritage provides some necessary value over other AHs? This is a travesty and terrible that buyers will let them get away with it

Hi

Heritage has size and they seem to get many great cards.
However, as we all know they specialize in auctions of all types and not just sports memorabilia, cards, etc.
Sometimes size has its disadvantages
They do get assortment, they do allow payment by credit card, and they do have some knowledgeable staff, and they app is good.
However, to me they do not give the best deals to the seller and to me their delivery times are exceeding slow.
As a result they are not a primary auction house to me for selling.
To me I bid if I see something like any other place.
But I fully expect the delivery time to be extended. Sadly

Fair point and I initially agreed but I looked it up and travesty has a much more modest definition than you would expect. At any rate, I have really liked Heritage but this is unfortunate. Maybe it’s a pandemic labor shortage. All I know is I made the dumb decision to pay by credit card with the fee rather than wait for funds to clear so I could get my lot faster. Wish I could do that part over since it’ll be 5 weeks anyway.

In early December 2020, I won several lots at Heritage. I was out of the country from that November until end of February 2021. By mid-December I had paid for my winnings, however I never asked Heritage if they could hold my shipment until I was back. I knew that it would take several months to ship and sure enough, beginning of March my shipment arrived. :) I havent bought from them since.

“a false, absurd, or distorted representation of something.“

This is an apt description.

just got my confirmation email from heritage...my winning is on the way. Robert Edwards should be here tomorrow.

Nice! Congrats, it's like winning the auction all over again, just 3 weeks later. ;):D

Hopefully the rest are moving out the door as well. I'm anxiously awaiting mine.

I just wanted to say that Herritage did me right. My consignment winning check was lost in the mail. (22 days). They wrote me another and shipped overnight FedEx. They didn't have to do that, so I want to thank them by posting here.

I think the Babe deserves a little ridiculous pampered shipping every once in awhile...egads the gigantic nested boxes!

I was assured 10 days ago that my package was "in shipping's possession". But I still don't have a Tracking Number 10 days later. I know "stuff trumps all" but this might be the last time I use Heritage.

Same here. This is really embarrassing for them. Zero preemptive updates on a delay. No transparency.

Sad but true that is key.

Sometimes we put up with the auction house shortfalls when they have the card that we want or need the most.

Same boat for me.
Still no package nor tracking number.

That's exactly why I bid with Heritage on the latest auction. It was a card that I had wanted for years and years.

Now I just want the darn card in my actual possession being that I paid for it almost a month ago now. ;)

Did they provide you with tracking information prior to your card arriving?
I still haven't even received tracking info, so I doubt my card has shipped out yet. :(
