Mile High just sold a Plank PSA A for 129k. This one should bring a similar number. With what modern cards are selling for, this card is finally getting some respect.

Mile High Plank was from 350 series, this one in Heritage is from 150 series and should go for even higher.

That Goldins one sold fo 34k swam away way too cheap. That plank was a rare scrap and Goldins didn't highlighted that as such.

Agree that the 150 status of this card will make it interesting to watch bc 150s are more desirable and tougher than 350s. However, the creases on this card make an apples to apples comparison with the Mile High 350 a bit tough.

Up to $69K all in with 24 days to go.

mrvster 04-18-2022 07:36 PM

Agreed!

this should go real high....Plank is right next to Wagner....

Plank could be a 1 million dollar card one day...not too far fetched:D

I have a Demmitt, St Louis that I picked up in a collection in the wild not long ago. I understand it’s a rare card. Do folks feel they need it for their sets or the NY version will suffice? How does its rarity compare with Doyle?

Could it be in for a rise in the future, in folks estimation? Considering selling VS tucking away. Thanks

tuck it away! it's needed for 520...no comparison to doyle...apples to oranges.

There are about 25 Demmitt StLs for every Joe Doyle NY Nat'l.

O'Hara and Demmitt are needed by set collectors and they have gone up in price a lot over the past 12-18 months. I think their future will depend on how many people there are trying to build the T206 set as opposed to just collecting T206 they like because my impression as a non-set collector is that people usually aren't too happy when it comes time to have to buy those two cards -- as opposed to spending that same amount to get a Walter Johnson or Cy Young. The key is they have to because they are going for the set.

B dawg

Agreed!

:)

Plank will be the card to get ......way undervalued still....:)

pawpawdiv9 04-20-2022 01:47 PM

well, i missed the boat when i had the opportunity...
You gotta jump on it when it comes up.
Thats why i been looking so much at the Magie errors lately, just holding the trigger.

mrvster 04-20-2022 01:52 PM

Chris!

smart move.....they are the next ones to explode;)

Mjpadilla84 05-14-2022 06:00 PM

Heritage Plank Authentic sold for 120k, big price for that! 100k the floor for those now?

chjh 05-14-2022 10:11 PM

There are 113 Magie error cards. (PSA Pop)

52 of them are Auth or PSA 1.

That means there are only 62 PSA 2 and higher.

There are only 6 PSA 5 and higher.

If one of the PSA 5 and higher cards goes to auction it will go for a big price. I agree it is undervalued.

The Sgc 1 Plank in Heritage last night which had some serious surface wear that included heavy pitting and paper loss on both sides sold for $75K.

Planks continue to hold their own, no matter their condition.
