Here is one depicting Spalding's 1888-89 World Tour's stop in England from the "The Illustrated London News" March 23,1889. It's somewhat like Gary's 1865 Leslies in that it has a lot going on. Teams, action scenes, players and instructions on game play terms.

I like that one, a lot.

Bill, I'm glad to see that you got it framed..looks great!

I believe this is a woodcut (not mine, but thought this would be a good place for the image), the 1888 Jersey City Ball Club Supplement to the Sporting News. Would love to see a better (bigger) image of it if anyone has one please.

Thanks Bruce, Doug, George and Phil. Here are a couple more that, while may not be quite as significant, I think are pretty cool.

It's a supplement to the Sporting TIMES, not the News...

Most of my Leslie’s are civil war and historic deaths like Lincoln and Napoleon. I got a few more in storage I will pull out. Also have some Scientific American stuff that's neat.

These are really cool looking. Thanks for sharing, guys.

This cdv came out about the same time as the earlier woodcuts did. I have no woodcuts at the moment. :(
