I've never understood why dogs pick that shin to rest their chin on (my ex's dog did the same thing). So many nearby softer human body part options, which is usually their preference for beds and most other places to sleep.

The 2 little gaffers we got above were also rescues, so to speak. The previous family found them at their trailer park and the mother had rejected them as she had 2 others to look after and feed. (stray/wild cat)
This family knew, with the onset of fall/winter coming, they would not make it so they decided to take them in. Unfortunately the wife was allergic to them so they needed to go, but only as a pair.

My wife and I were thinking of another cat as it has been a few years since our last cat passed so we took them in. So far so good but you can easily tell a few more weeks with their mother would have done them some good.

Max is 10 and we adopted him from local animal shelter when he was 12 weeks old! He is the most loyal companion (besides wife) and best bud a guy can ask for!

Since posting last October we've added Joey, a Houston shelter rescue we were blessed with just before Christmas.

They had him listed as a 'Pointer mix'. Just for grins we had one of those breed ID tests done. He's a mix of exactly 17 breeds, none of which turned out to be Pointer. So the shelter got the 'mix' part right at least.:D

He's such a good boy. Here he is reminding me that I've spent enough time messin' with my hobby stuff, it's time to go walk!
