This was one part of a lucky find. A large group of publications, baseball cards, baseball programs, etc. were found in an old garage on a property in a less than safe city neighborhood. Apparently the stuff survived in the garage for decades until being recently found.

It's great to know there is still buried treasure out there!

Wesleyan Academy items

Killer lot Bruce! I love those old graduation images that tell a story! Your's is quite unique!
I have an '88 Harvard graduation cabinet that is similar with guys in their baseball uniforms, track uniforms, football uniforms, rowing uniforms etc. I also have similar '95 Lafayette graduation cabinet. That was one year before they won the football National Championship. You can see the college pride in their smiles.
Those old cabinets are like a where's Waldo image. You could stare at them for hours!

Wesleyan Academy was apparently the first coed residential academy and Rich Hall was built in 1868 to accommodate all the students.

'88 Harvard Graduation Cabinet

I'll try as soon as I get out of this sling. It's pretty hard to do anything right now with my left hand. Ugh!

What happened?

Picked up 2 snapshots early this month. One of Gehrigh and one of Babe with same child. Also came with newspaper letter from the child, now much older, about the photos.

Given he does not have a hat in the shot with Babe, it would make sense Lou took his off and put it on the kid.

It seems that Lou took off his cap and put it on kids for photos before, so it makes sense here. Here is a photo from my collection with Chrsity Walsh's son where he did the same.
