SL run complete
 

Picked up my last SL'er this past week to complete the run. Surprised me a bit that it ended up being Pat McCauley with as tough as some of the others are.

The SL'ers have been such a cool part of the T206 set to work on, and a few board members on here were really key in helping me along the way with big batches of cards.

I think they look great all together as well!

After a complete run of SLers, this looks rather pedestrian. However, I added another T206 HOFer to my collection. SGC 3 from eBay.

Really happy with the centering and registration on this one

Sharp looking for the grade. The registration and color are always tough on that one.

Only a couple in July, but picked up two more and completed this short set...

C-Mack, I did a double take when I saw your last two 34 Goudeys. I picked up a Dean and Foxx with the exact same grades and posted them in the June pickups! At first I thought I was being pranked. Hahaha! Quite ironic.

No kidding!! Actually before this auction took place, there was some speculation that the standing giant MIGHT in fact, be the great Hall-of-Fame pitcher, Smokey Joe Williams! But alas, after quite a bit of thoughtful research and image comparisons from fellow board members, a consensus was reached that it's probably not he. But the player sitting at far right is definitely Alejandro Oms - a guy with a decent shot at the Hall, someday. I hope.

Recently picked up this e90-1 Fromme. It replaces one that I had but went to another member and I couldn't be happier to have another one.

Gee Walker Worch Upgrade

..Took seven or eight years but I finally found another 1933 Worch Cigar Premium of Detroit Tigers pre-rookie Gerald "Gee" Walker , with most all its original gloss and which does not have sixteen pinholes ( 16 !! ) ( I held it up to a light bulb and counted ).......his rookie card had been considered the 1934 Goudey issue......strange but I sort of lean towards preferring to look at the old one --because you can better view that cool old guy up in the stands and his neat hat...

Thanks to a board member, I was able to add this very rare Dots Miller card to my collection, a 1911 Baseball Bats. Makes a nice trio with the other two candy box cards I already had for Miller (also shown below, but only the Baseball Bats is new)

Anyone have an idea of how many Obak Red back T212 complete sets exist? Also looking for info on the E99, E100, boxing and non sports tobacco cards. TYIA

I had one T212-3 complete set that I sold several years ago. But I'm sure there are several more out there.

Which boxing and non-sport sets are you looking for this information on?

My family and I have come across some of the Mecca Track and Field, Golfing, Billiards, Light house, and auto driver cards. There are some Turkey Red automobile series cards as well.

Picked this guy up the other night, he's well loved but gets me to 92/302 on the AB master back run
