I'm not much of a program collector but I recently picked up these Yankees programs even though they were not in the best shape. Vintage baseball history trumped condition in this case.
May 5, 1936: NY Yankees vs St. Louis Browns The Yankees beat the Browns 8-2 in front of only 8,000 fans this day. A young Joe DiMaggio, wearing #9, plays in his second career game ever and gets 3 hits and 2 RBI's. Lou Gehrig, on his way to an MVP season, has 4 hits in the game too. I didn't know at the time I purchased it that this was also game 1,900 of Lou Gehrig's consecutive game streak and it was "Lou Gehrig Day" at Yankee Stadium as the team presented him with his 1936 MVP trophy between games. From the official Shibe Park scorebook is this historic 1945 game in which Pete Gray pinch hits for catcher Frank Mancuso. First time in major league history where a guy is sucking so bad that they put in a one-armed guy to bat for him.

Apologies for the awkward scan sizes. The intent was to make the score card bigger. But...I do not know the date of this game. The players, written in pencil, are difficult to read.
